Works great on 2016 Ford Edge
Looks great, crisp white light and no blinking. Other lights were too bright and actually fooled the backup camera to think it didn't need to use the night vision at night but these don't. I had to switch the polarity around but the packaging tells you as much so it was a quick fix.

Fits 2012-15 Camry & 2010 Altima License Plate Lights and Side Markers. Very Bright. Great Price.
Helped a friend replace the license plate bulbs for a 2015 Camry. Reasonably easy to install. You just pop out a couple of plastic frames holding the light housing in the trunk and either push from behind the housing (inside the trunk behind the liner) or pull the housing out from the outside. Be careful to pull gently so as to not break off the clips holding the housing in. Also, be sure to wear gloves, otherwise the natural oils in your hands and fingers will shorten the life of the bulb. If you are using different bulbs, be sure to change both of the bulbs at the same time. Otherwise, the license plate will look like David Bowie's eyes at night. For this specific vehicle, changing to these LED bulbs not only improves the visibility of your license plate at night, but also improves upon the viewable area of the backup camera, so this is not only a great aesthetic upgrade, but also sort of a safety upgrade. The bulbs themselves are a very nice bright bluish white. My friend was so impressed with these bulbs, we bought one for my friend's 2010 Altima Hybrid. This car was even easier to install. Pop open the trunk and remove the clips closest facing you and the couple clips in the middle of the internal trunk liner. Pull back the liner and you should see the 2 light bulbs connected via cable. Bulbs are in a plastic socket that releases if you give it a firm quarter turn to the right, but be sure to disconnect the power cable first. The bulbs then unplug very easily.NOTE: If you plug in the bulbs and they don't work, simply flip them around. Apparently, on the Altima, the bulbs only light up if they go in one specific way.Update:Apparently these are also the standard bulbs for side marker lights (Star Trek Joke: THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!). Strange thing, most Gen 6 Camrys I see on the road have blown out side marker bulbs. I have helped half a dozen friends change these out. You need smaller hands to reach into the engine to change out the front set.

Good quality
Plugged in and works as expected on my older car which is a 2nd gen Prius. My other car which also uses the T10 bulb cannot detect it and shows on the dash that the bulb is out (2007 Porsche 911). I decided to do a tear down and see what’s under the hood. The bulb is simple in its design as it only has a diode for im guessing to protect the LED and a resistor to lower the voltage to accommodate the LED lower voltage requirements. Some of the other brands sell bulbs with multiple pieces of components in their design which offer are prone to fail. The Philips design emits less heat from the actual emitter but the downside is heat builds up internally in the resister component area that has no way to escape. Overall, it’s a simple yet effective design that consumes about .5w of power and is plenty bright. I removed one star because of having to install it in the correct position to get the positive polarity. Most sockets are not marked which is the positive side, so if your bulb doesn’t come on you have to remove it and flip it around.

Fits 2016 Toyota Corolla
This product is reliable. I have them installed on my Lexus ES350 for parking lights. 3 years later and they're still going strong with no issues. These particular bulbs I installed for my siblings 2016 Toyota Corolla. Although the license plate bulb calls for 194. These 168 have the exact same base. The difference? 168 is brighter and higher water than 194. These also provide more ground light to help the backup camera see at night too.The color is a nice cool white, makes your ride look modern, Phillips is a reliable brand and you never have to worry about these burning out. Get em!To install on the corolla, you need to squeeze a little clip on the left side of the bulb housing. It's the same on the passenger side bulb. Then twist the black adapter to access the bulb. If the LED doesn't light up, flip it around and it'll work.

Brighter and much cooler temperature-wise
Purchased for replacing the map light bulbs in a 2012 Mustang GT Convertible. Watched a video on how to remove the housing holding the two lights. I recommend releasing the wire loom between the housing and the car to make inserting the bulbs much easier. Once the housing is free I took it to a bench for removal of the old incandescent lamps and insertion of the LED bulbs. The LED bulbs have a small red dot one side of the base to indicate the power side of the LED. I inserted this side into the white wire side and guessed correctly as they illuminated immediately when power was applied. I strongly recommend testing operation before reassembly otherwise one is looking at doing the procedure all over again. They did make a noticeable difference in illuminating the cockpit. I did read where some complained the LEDS seemed to continue to have power applied as they had a dim glow when off. I also noticed this and waited to see if this dim lighting would quit. It did several minutes after power was removed. So I am not going to worry about this "afterglow". The rating of four stars is because I anticipated a brighter light than was given off by the LEDs. I hope the pictures help in your decision to purchase or not. The two pictures of the bulbs show the LEDS while "on" and "off". However, like I said earlier, this capacitor like charge dissipates in short order.

Can't go wrong with Philips... nice, bright white light for Subaru BRZ trunk light
I got this to use in the trunk area of my 2023 Subaru BRZ. This bulb is a perfect fit and provides a lot more bright, white light compared to the stock incandescent bulb (see photos, although sometimes it’s hard to tell in photos). This one does have polarity so make sure to test it out before you put things back together as you might need to insert it the other way around to get it to work. I’ve used Phiips bulbs for years and they tend to last much longer and work more consistently than the no name off-brands that you can find much cheaper. Philips is worth the higher price for something you don’t have to replace very often.
