I bought this for composing but they went to a midnight jam session first!
So far, so good. I bought this for writing and love that it is easy to roll up and store. Of course, the keys don't respond the way an electric keyboard or piano's keys would, but for working out notation, this is exactly what I wanted. Would be good for learning notes, too. I put stickers on my white keys.

Perfect for practicing while traveling
The sound quality is not amazing, so wouldn't use it to impress anyone musically, but I bought it to practice while I travel. The quality of the sound is good enough that the Simple Piano app was able to properly recognize the notes I was playing.

Stores away nicely. Travels well to the Grand kids house.. Has many featers sounds not wonderful but its worth the cost. We use a -y cord to hook up 2 head sets and Grama gets to learn with the Grand kiddos with out bothering the rest of the house.

Great toddler gift; buy with confidence.
The toddler loved the gift. Sound quality is good; keys are easy to play. The price was right.

No
It will mess up your playing if you are a year or two in and try to convert. It took me a couple months to fully rework my hands back to a normal keyboard after trying to play on this. The sound is awful. Totally bummed.. if someone could make a few changes it would be a great idea!

very frustrating to use, not worth the money
I was initially very excited by this product because I live in an apartment with very little space and I really liked the idea of a keyboard I could roll up and store away easily. However the reality is this thing is virtually unusable. The keys seem to have two contact points under them that will register a press, one at the top and one at the bottom, but they are inconsistent. Even when I'm pressing directly on where I can feel one of the contacts, sometimes the key will play, sometimes it won't, sometimes it will play twice. The black keys are even more inconsistent and make no sound at all half the time no matter where I press them. On top of that, I don't know if my unit is defective or if they're all like this, but touching anywhere on the white control box, any of hte control buttons, or any of the rubber matting around the final key on the right side of the keyboard will all play the sound of the farthest right key making several keys on the far right side unusable because they will play their sound along with the sound of hte final key. I'm highly dissapointed, for the same money I wish I'd just bought a smaller traditional keyboard.
