This is an important book.
This book is excellent. It is a fantastic companion to his first book. It is also a great stand-alone book.In one part of the book - he does six months of continuous charts. And he's written on them. Saying why he did this, or why not that. Great!!I've seen a couple of things in this work that I had thought would have been great to have had in his Scalping book. Like more notes on the example charts - well he has just such charts with notes on them in this book. (That is like sitting with the guy - it's enormously generous of him). Then he also goes in more at trade selection. The previous book makes loads of mention of that - but always in the context of a particular setup - however in this new book he makes a chapter for it.Then there is an expanded section on exit strategies. Now he had a superb section in the previous book, but he's expanded this to a three chapter section. It looks like he's grouped the setups from the previous book into a small set of "types" of setup. So I get a more general discussion of the rationale behind those types of thing.... This might get me into a way of thinking as I look at the chart - to first see a "type" of setup emerging before narrowing in on the specific ...He also has new stuff in a general section on false breaks, and false higher highs, etc. This is really good because it feeds into the whole selection process and helps evaluate exits and things of that nature!I don't know much about the author. He writes very well, and he is obviously enthusiastic about this topic; that comes across in the writing. There is also a consistency not only across this book, but also across both of his books, which makes me feel like he has very much actually done this. It isn't "academic" inasmuch it is a practical book, or a book of practicalities presented with commentary on the why. It is really very good.

Fantastic read for study of price action
I decided to write a review on this book, after reading and studying the first book "forex price action scalping" I didn't think the follow up could be as good. However this surpasses in many ways, firstly he writes from a traders perspective and has a knack of describing what emotions and thoughts actually play out in a traders mind. Many technical analysis books are great from a technical point but don't explain the vagaries of sentiment, participants and many other facets of trading. A must read you won't be disappointed.

Great book. However
Great book. However, I did not think it's better than the first book called Forex price action scalping. But it is a very good book.

Required Reading for Traders
Damn good. I read Bobs previous book which was brilliant, and like that one, this one doesn't disappoint. Good clear summaries and accurate descriptions of price action and setups. Less weighty then Al Brooks marvellous tomes, this book still contains a wealth of information. If you're serious about trading, you must read this.

Easy to understand
A clear and conscise way to describe price action from a trader's persepctive.Easy to understand, bar by bar analysis, Bob Volman explains the thinking behind each bar action and the interplay between the round number levels, support and resistance levels and how they relate to breakouts, all on the 5-minute chart.

A most interesting book
Another classic from Mr. Bob Volman. Highly recommend it to the aspiring traders out there that are in search for some guidance, soothing allong the difficult way of FOREX speculation. His advice is highly clear and concise and you can clearly see how a good methodology stands to reap benefits in time.

Poorly written
No doubt, Bob Volman knows his stuff.Unfortunately, the book is very hard to read — in places almost incomprehensible. Most of his important price-action concepts are introduced in Chapter 2. Working through those 25 pages took me several days (I read another 100 pages after that, but then gave up).It is true that one can find these ideas for free on the internet, but here you have them collected in one place. If you feel the price of the book is worth these 25 pages go ahead and buy it. However, be prepared to put significant effort into wrapping your head around these — once understood, fundamentally very simple — concepts.
