I usually add two to start my fire pit, but this past time, I only lit one and it still lit the fire. They light very easily, and start with a small, candle-like flame. But it grows and, more importantly, is sustained for 5-10 minutes. That's plenty to get the tinder & dry wood started.

Opened Amazon box to starter bundles just thrown into box. Not even in manufacturing boxes. If I could leave no stars I would. Would not recommend at all. Ordered three boxes I don’t know how many I truly got

These light the charcoal just fine. My only complaint is that they are too thick to fit in the slot in my Masterbuilt Gravity. You can untwist and flatten them a bit to get them to fit so it's not that big of a deal.
