to add a dedicated accessory battery, or whatever
got this for my Dually so I could put a battery in the back of the truck to run the Fuel pump on my external tank. this device will charge the extra battery while the Vehicle is running, or can be hooked up to a solar panel. so while I drive it charges and when parked the solar cell charges it. works as expected ( just don't leave it out in the open, it is not meant for weather, I have mine mounted in the bed up under the rail so it is mostly out of the rain, but does get a little wet sometimes, and still works.

Unit failed with less than 6 months of use
The media could not be loaded. Purchased dec 23. Used for 4 months. Vehicle had mechanical issues and was parked and my campervan build was removed from that vehicle until I recently got another. Plugged it in to new vehicle build and the unit shuts on and off every 5 seconds. Contacted support and they said I’m past the warranty. So realistically if you buy this expect to get 5-6 months out of the unit before it fails and be prepared to warranty it every 6 months. They offered me 25% off another but I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

Neat concept, versatility
This can be used for a wide range of configurations. It can be hooked up to a 12v alternator, solar panels, or both. It's just loose wires, you have to hook them up yourself depending on your situation, but it's nice that the cables are clearly labeled and kindof dummy proof. The housing seems solid and good quality, there was no overheating in my initial tests, my initial impression is very positive.

Good charge controller.
I bought this for my home made overland trailer. I damaged my first battery overcharging it from the truck on a trip, so this was the smart move. I am happy with the build quality. It feels solid, and has a nice sturdy aluminum shell and heavy duty leads that are clearly labeled. Instalation was straight forward. The solar charger wotks good. Better, i feel than my original. I haven't used it on a long trip as camping season is over for me. But I feel confident this will work well. I'll update my review after I go through a camping season. Hope this helps someone trying to make a decision.

Solar charge intermittent, died after 14 months.
The DC charger part worked great. The solar charging would cut in and out (could see on voltage/amp meter). Now after 14 months, it died and will not turn on.Do not recommend.

Missreprents the ability to output 40 AMPS
I got this because it is literally the only one that doesn't require you to run a d+ (starter) wire. My alternator puts out 13.62 volts and this thing only produces 15.8 amps. When I contact tech support here was there response. The technician said DC input voltage in 14V-16V can be stabilized more than 30A.At 14.4V input it reaches full power output of 40A.If the input voltage is lower than 14V, the power will not reach the rated power. From the picture you sent, the input voltage is 13.62V, so the current is normal at about 20A.Hope this can help you a littleBest regards,LarkI believe by their logic it would not put out 40 amps at 14.4 volts since it only does 15.8 at 13.62. The manual says it puts out 14.4 volts but doesn't say incoming voltage needs to be closer to 15 volts to get that. The manual also says the output is 40 amps with an input of 12.5-16V. All in all unless you turn up you alternator to 15 or more volts don't expect anything close to 40 amps. Seems like a big metal box with a big diode and some circuit that cuts off the output when out put voltage reaches a voltage set point if you can even get it to that point. LION batteries have just over 14 volt max voltage for 100% but if the unit only puts out 13.4 you can't get there unless once again you can get your alternator to put out 15-16 volts.

Fantastic way to charge my lithium house batteries on the RV with great quality and thick wires.
The media could not be loaded. The MPPT On-Board Battery Charger by Eco-Worthy, is such a great way to easily be able to charge your house batteries with the alternator and run solar through the same device. With any easy set-up, great quality, and performance, this is by far, a product that is worthy of your consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned about it while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This appears to be a very good quality product from the housing to the thick labeled wires, I have a good amount of confidence that this should last me a long time. I’d put this one in the lower side of the top tier of the quality scale for this type of product.II. Set-up – It was super simple with all the wires clearly labeled and even printed on the wire itself in case the labels come off over time. The actually complexity of the set-up can vary wildly depending on what your starting with and how much you’re going to install, but this machines part of the equation is simple.III. Performance – I already had a similar set-up, so this makes it even easier. My problem was that the factory set-up doesn’t charge lithium batteries, because the charge cut off from the alternator is set too low for lithium batteries that need to get up in to the 14V range to fully charge. Also, this allows me to run my solar through the same device, combining two devices in one. After setting it up, it’s works flawlessly and always keeps my batteries charged weather it’s from the solar or the alternator when driving.Overall, this is a fantastic machine that was easy to setup and has performed wonderfully as my Power Director, so I always have juice when needed. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.
