It's been years since I had a butterscotch candy. I was looking for Brach's, but couldn't find it at a reasonable price or at my local store, so I read reviews on amazon then ended up with these. They are a good flavor, not quite what I remember any butterscotch I've had, but it's been a long time. They are very "buttery" for lack of a better word. They don't taste like cheap candy that's just a piece of sugar with a little flavor. These have plenty of flavor. I can't recall what Brach's tasted like, only that they were my favorite butterscotch as a kid (now closing in on 50yo). My dad always used to have cheap peppermint and butterscotch candies in his pocket. Sometimes fresh and new, sometimes old and melted... he loved hard candy and was never far from it. Eating these is like bringing my dad back for a few minutes every time I have one.

Edited to add: my husband lives these butterscotch candies BUT the order we received yesterday smells and tastes like aftershave was dumped in them. I'm really pissed off. I thought whomever was loading the box had aftershave on his hands but it's in the bag too. I also ordered some strawberry candies and they are contaminated too. The AI Rufus said to return them but nobody's told the robot that they're nonreturnable. I'm not buying them again. They smell like stink bug spray. Yuck! The butterscotch candy I bought previously had a weird, bourbon-like flavor aftertaste which probably was the butter flavoring they used. Didn't like those at all, so I wanted to try another manufacturer. I am so glad I did! These taste like the real deal, as they were made 60 years ago. The balance of lightly salted butter and the sweet caramelized sugar is delicious! They're so good, you'll have a hard time stopping at one!

I grabbed a bag of these butterscotch hard candies and instantly felt like I’d been adopted by every sweet grandma on Earth. They taste like melted sunshine mixed with childhood memories you forgot you had. They last forever, too, which is great unless you panic and try to chew them, then it becomes a dental adventure. Smooth, buttery, sweet, and weirdly comforting… like a tiny golden pep talk for your taste buds. 10/10, my inner grandparent approves.

Great bag of butterscotch this old school candy keeps the kids and adults. Happy well made great flavor. Can't go wrong if you're a butterscotch lover, like I am Norwalk, raider out.
