Not much give
Works okay as a massage ball. It's not soft at all, not much give. Works okay for my needs though

Good massage ball
I've had a similar massage ball in the past and was sad to have to through it away when it started to perish. I've got a much harder massage ball, but it isn't as comfortable or as effective. I lean up against a flat door, and place the ball behind my upper back and shoulders. I then work the ball behind my shoulders working down and side to side to get to all my problem areas. By applying pressure to the ball (leaning back onto the door) and rolling it about my back I can relive muscle tension and spasm. Its like a personal massage, with you deciding on the level of pressure applied, and the areas to concentrate on. It may be pain full in some areas but if you keep working on the knots on a regular basis you can really make a difference. The price was really good compared to my previous purchases and if it lasts as long as my previous massage ball I'll be very happy.

Useful balk
Best one I found on amazon. Ended up buying them from massage therapist as they had different sizes and all were softer

Fantastic for relieving pain.
I use a similar one for easing tight muscles in my back and body - I bought this for a relation who has back pain for a christmas present. They are simple to use - back pain:- simply put the ball between you and a wall and lean on it moving around. You will have to move the ball to different places sometimes as you move around. You can modify the tx level by not leaning so hard. Don't make it hurt too much - there is a level of pain which is good not bad. You can feel it moving the muscles once they start to relax. Don't use for more than a few seconds to start with if you have lots of pain. Can also you on legs and arms but easiest for back neck shoulders and buttocks.

Ideal medium soft spiky ball for Pilates and plantar fasciitis use etc.
We were recommended this specific ball by our Pilates teacher who swears by it. It is of medium firmness, with enough 'give' for effective stimulation. As our exercises involve us placing our entire weight on the ball with our foot, this has proven to be a really comfortable ball, with enough give to prevent discomfort, yet stimulating enough to be effective for my plantar fasciitis and other muscle massage.

Massage ball
I actually brought the wrong size but found it was perfect for the areas I wished to use it on.
