Makes me wonder if this is a fake

This was advertised as Iolite. This is definitely not Iolite, perhaps black tourmaline?Iolite is a dark to translucent blue. This thing is black with a few dark brown striations.There is also scratch marks all over one side of the piece.The item was bubble wrapped and packaged nicely so I can only surmise the nicks were there before it came into package.Buyer beware.

False advertising on the size. Pretty po'd it wasn't at least the advertised size. Only reason why I didn't give just one star is because the quality of the tourmaline itself is quite nice, but this is going back. I planned on ordering more if this size was good but I don't trust this seller now.

This is a very beautiful opalite wand. It measures about 3" and has a flat bottom so it stands nicely on its own. There are no flaws or chips in the wand. The colour is exactly as expected, and it looks so lovely.

I don’t even know where to begin. I have lots of crystals. All different price ranges and so on. Never have I ever through all my years held it for the first time straight out of the package and said this is fake. Until now that is. I know crystals and healing gems. I have and have had way too many not to know something about them.I tossed this in disgust to my wife. She looked at it and asked about the bubbles in it. Then she said this looks like a bad resin pour. I took the crystal back and looked at it and she is right. Then I noticed it is not even the shape that was shown in the pictures. This has a wide base that tapers to the point at the top. The picture shows a straight crystal.I got some pictures online that clearly show what this type of crystal should look like. The last picture is the one I received. It was very hard to get a clear picture that showed the air bubbles inside the thing. With the light behind it, all I got was glistening specks bounding around inside those bubbles.I am not impressed with this at all. In all my years I have never in any stores or through my personal experiences seen any type of crystal with this amount of bubbles in it. I have seen a few imperfections inside. There have been a few tiny pockets that could be a bubble. But from working with resin I recognize this as a whole lot of bubble from a bad mix and pour. So I say buyer beware. Be very aware. They can’t even get the shape right. Look at the picture on this page showing their Opalite Crystal and look at the shape they sent me.
