Quality of the prongs are a little iffy, but it does the job well.
Assembly was odd, but I found out how to do it correctly. The prongs on my last aluminum piece hold, but one is stuck (?) and won't pop out through the hole it's supposed to. Honestly? I have no complaints, it's not like it's fallen apart or anything as I'm doing laundry. And trust me, I'm not gentle with my clothes lol! It's 20x better than a plunger with holes drilled in it (like I had before.) Definitely get it, even though it's a bit pricy.

Different - but effective
Found myself in situations where I was handwashing clothes on a regular basis. This devise is a little pricey but keeps your hands out of the water, (if you choose) can give your upper arms a work-out, and does a good job cleaning clothes. Putting it together initially was admittedly a bit of a struggle. Once assembled, which took braun, not brains, the item is sturdy and looks like it will last for decades.

Speed Queen Sidekick
Allows for quick and deep cleaning when you just need a couple of items washed. I find it enjoyable and quick on a daily basis now. Much easier to wash daily and spin dry the clothes instead of waiting until the end of the week. With this I am actually spending less time overall doing laundry. I still use my Speed Queen Machine for bulky and bedding.

overall, good
Positives:*The stick is very tall. Maybe 4 feet tall at least? So you can easily stand up and use it.*It feels super durable. I don't think any of the parts could break. The metal is very thick. The plastic is very thick too.I haven't used it yet, but I don't think it will need much arm force to use it because it is not heavy.Negatives:I had a difficult time assembling the metal pieces. The edge of the metal is thick and a bit sharp and you have to push very hard down on the metal buttons to get them to slide through the holes. I was so worried I might slice my skin off. The buttons just required too much force to push them down. Maybe I did it wrong, but I don't see myself taking this apart in between laundry washes, which means it will take up a lot of space as the thing is kinda big. It probably took me 30 mins to get all the metal pieces together and I had to push onto the floor really hard with all of my weight like throwing myself onto it to get it to snap together. If it wasn't for this, it would be perfect. But I think the value is good for the money because I almost bought the all-plastic version of this (which I imagine is easy to put together/take apart) however, a lot of reviews for that one had it breaking in half, which would be a waste of money. and this thing, despite it nearly being impossible to put together/take apart, seems it'll last forever, so long as you're ok with having it take up some space--or maybe you are extremely strong with big Shrek type hands and the metal buttons would be easier for you to push through?Update: It works well. It does plunge the water through. I found you CAN twist off the top handle and the bottom plastic pieces EASILY which reduces its height a lot. I take it apart doing this and leave the metal stick assembled. This way it takes up WAY much less space without struggling with putting the metal pieces together.

Sturdy, well designed, but read before assembly
Loved the quality overall and ease of disassembly and ready storage pouch. However, the cast metal threads on either end of the rod that enters the handle and the cone shaped plunger were not cleared of the sharp casting seams and flashing from the molding process and can destroy the softer plastic threads inside the handle and plunger upon assembly. Inspect them and file the excess sharp thin metal from between the threads before assembly. I didn't see the problem until upon feeling resistance to turning, I unscrewed the handle from the plunger and found that the sharp metal extending into the trough of the metal threads had damaged the plastic ones inside the threaded plunger tube and gouged a considerable amount of the softer material away. This is a deficit in finishing and easily corrected before assembly. The item is much higher quality than I expected in every other respect.

Love this thing!
So it looks like a plunger, but this thing really works. I’ve used it several times, and it does the job well. Bonus is getting my upper body work out while washing! It came on time and in perfect condition. Fairly easy to put together except the handle. That took some work and muscle power. Looks like it will last a long time! Good investment.

Not built to last
It broke on day 37. There is a 30 day return policy. The bottom plastic plunge piece no longer stays attached because the plastic stripped. It also was leaking a black colored water everywhere. It seems to be coming from the inside of the metal piece. It leaked everywhere including on clothes. I did use it daily, but it I feel it should have lasted longer, and shouldn't be leaking black water everywhere.

Washer head is fine, handle is garbage
The handle is hilariously poorly designed. Where all the segments snap together, the aluminum extruded pipe rubs and chafes and results in a good amount of aluminum dust which not only gets into the wash but is also toxic to breathe. I highly suggest wrapping the insert portions in packing tape immediately upon purchase (before use!) to circumvent this design flaw.Due to the segmented nature of the pipe, water gets in and can't get out.Brand new the handle was significantly wobbly, and after maybe 10-12 uses the rivets holding the handle to the screw-in base sheared off completely. I replaced them with a bolt, and it's now nice and snug and functions as intended.
