Great rice cakes for Soups! Chewy and delicious!
These are a staple in our home! They go great is kimchi jigae, ramen, hot and sour etc anything you'd like to put them in. Great chewing and good quality. Would buy again!

Good stuff
Very good, freezes easily. Just make sure to only prepare what you will eat for that meal. It gets nasty mushy if leftovers stored in fridge.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
I bought these because my stick rice cakes wouldn't rehydrate properly if certain people were in the house with me. I have to say, out of any style and brand rice cake I've used these are the BEST. It's similar in value to regular stick tteok packs but better quality. These just cook SO much better than the and hold more flavor, I regret not buying some rose tteok mix to pair with them. The texture is absolutely amazing and super convenient to make, they were already rehydrated within a minute of adding the hot water. Good size for the price and will definitely last me a while despite foreseeing eating them everyday. I didn't clock any weird smell, water in the package or off taste which is a step up from other brands I've purchased from here on Amazon.

Pretty good rice cakes!
This is a review for: Korean Rice Cake β Chewy Tteok, Tteokbokkik, Rice Cake Soup, Vegan and Gluten Free Non-GMO 21.16 oz (7.05 oz X 3 Individual Pack) (Sliced) This is a 3 pack of 7.05oz individual packages. It's nice to have it in smaller packages so you keep the unused portions fresh. I gave the rice cakes a rinse and put them with my spicy Korean ramyun. It's quite nice, I think a bit less starchy, melty than the ones I usually get. It is a bit bouncier and won't stick to your teeth. It cooks up pretty quickly and won't get soggy too quickly. Overall pretty happy with product!

Great small individual packs. Not chewy enough.
Very much like the individual small packs which is easier for storage. The look and color of the rice cake slices are just like any other Korean brands. There is not much of preparation and super easy to cook through. Made the Korean style soup, the rice cakes didn't have enough rice taste to it and were not chewy enough, perhaps the sticks type would be chewer.

Chewy and tasty
I used to get Korean rice cakes at Trader Joe's, but sadly, they discontinued them. So I went looking to see if I could buy them online. After a bit of poking around, I found these, so I decided to try them. The instructions aren't very clear for cooking just the cakes, so I did the same thing I did when I cooked the Trader Joe's product (although theirs was frozen and this is shelf stable): I poured about half a bag into boiling water, let the water return to a boil, cooked for four to five minutes, and drained. That did the trick. I estimate that a third to half a bag will give you one serving. These rice cakes aren't really flavorful, so it's best to serve it as side dish (since I'm vegan, I use a meat analogue) to something that is. But I do love the chewy texture, and that's why I eat them. While you can eat them as leftovers they do tend to stick together after sitting in the fridge, so it's best to cook only what you need.
