Great for Lego lovers
Had my son 6th birthday as a Lego themed party. These were great to make a cake that looked like a Lego. It looked even better once it was frosted.

Practically need to be a master chef to be successful with these!
The media could not be loaded. The instructions are very vague and not helpful. "Make a batter of your choice, spray the entire plan, fill the pan and bake according to recipe." Not to mention that it takes almost an entire cake recipe for one pan and is surprisingly smaller than expected. I'm so sad. This was going to be an epic birthday party. Now we're heading to the store for an expensive backup cake.

Fun pan, easy to use.
Update: Made 6 cakes all came out good. Did find it difficult to frost the pegs as they are small so I lopped them off and only put on the visible ones for the cake.Although I’m an experienced cake make I was on the fence when my grandson said he wanted a Lego cake. I was happy to find these pans in a 2pk. They work as stated. The pictures are my test run before making the cake. Spray the pans well. I used one cake mix for 2 bricks. Fill the pans to an inch from the inner pan edge. Lock the top on. I baked 350 for 30 minutes but will reduce to 25 as it was a tad overdone. I did have some seepage on top of lid during baking.(it comes out the pin holes on the lid) This does not affect the cake. Just lop it off and remove unlock the pans lid.. Immediately remove the cake from the pan on to a cooling rack. Do not wait for it to cool. All in all a cute pan.

Really do stack, experiment a bit with how much to pour in
We used a spice mix and dyed one part red and one part green. The red probably needed more mix since I didn’t get them perfectly even. If you don’t put in enough the bottom of the cake (from the top of the pan) won’t have enough beveling but it can just be the bottom tier if you are making several. Be prepared to spend a little time at home with this if you are making two tiers (which is natural because it will be one mix). Of course, you could always buy more than one to cut down on time. It’s good that it has the toothpick holes in the top to test the cake. It slides out really easily if you prep the pan well. Another tip: put it on a pan to make it straight so that you don’t have to line up the feet on the lines of a rack. Kiddo picked and mixed in food coloring so that we didn’t have to bother with fondant, but that’s certainly a cool way to go if you have time.Kids love this cake pan and it makes for a pretty interesting and neat dessert or birthday cake. I plan to make a “3” or “4” out of at least five or four bricks respectively for the base for future birthday party parties. My husband also continues to collect his own legos so this is a really useful pan for me.

...
These worked great for the type of cake he wanted. Just be sure not to overfill or you will end up with a cake on the top of lid as well. (We won't mention how I know that) as long as you spray the insides with bakers joy spray the blocks come out super easy and remember darker pans so check temp on cake mix box. (Usually 25degrees lower on temp). They cake pieces are stackable and lined up wonderfully if you decide to stack them. Made for a fun birthday cake. Glad we found these.

Great! But 1/2 inch makes all the difference
I did a test where I filled 3 of them to slightly different levels. One was 1" from where they lock together, then 3/4", then 1/2". I was worried it wouldn't reach the top, but the 1" below was perfect. 3/4" flooded slightly. 1/2" flooded entirely.1/2" made the difference between a perfect Lego cake and a complete disaster.

TEFLON is bubbling/chipping off and I havent even used it yet
There are several spots where the TEFLON (toxic) anti-stick coating they used has air pockets so it chips off and I havent even used it yet. Also a LOT smaller than it's made to look but that wasn't why I returned it
