Pretty Straightforward Installation, With a Few Quirks - Fan and Light Work Very Well
I bought this fan to replace a similar one that had problems after I installed it. This one has the advantage of a dimmable light, which turned out to be more important in our kitchen location than expected. Full brightness is pretty intense, and is uncomfortable to look at directly.Assembly of the fan went smoothly and quickly enough, although the instructions consist only of illustrations that are not entirely clear. A couple of extra fan screws are provided, which is always appreciated but were not needed in this case. The two issues I came across were attaching the mounting plate that holds the fan on the ceiling and also hanging the fan. If you follow the instructions for the ceiling plate, you're expected to use three drywall anchors and screws that are included in the hardware kit, but this contradicts the warning elsewhere that the fan "must be installed on a solid wall surface, not on a plasterboard or a cracked wall". I assumed "plasterboard" meant drywall, but this may not be the case - do they mean lath and plaster? At any rate, I wanted to mount the fan on a reinforced (attached to joists) junction box, but the plastic mounting plate doesn't have the proper holes molded into it for a standard metal junction box. To make it work, I had to extend one of the pre-molded slots in the plate with a drill. Problem solved, but this shouldn't be necessary.Hanging the light was the other issue. Step 3 shows the fan being connected to the AC source wires in the ceiling, but there is no way to do this while holding the fan. The illustration shows the fan hanging in midair with only the wire nuts holding it in place, which is very much NOT recommended in my experience. Oddly enough, a hanging strap is provided, but there is no hook or hole on either the fan or the mounting plate to attach it, and this strap does not appear anywhere in the instructions or the installation video in the Amazon product page. The solution? Instead of connecting the remote control receiver box to the fan _before_ hanging the fan as shown in Step 2, I connected this box to the house wiring first, _then_ connected the fan to the receiver box via its two small electrical connectors. This makes it much easier to then lift the fully assembled fan to the mounting plate, where you can twist it like a bayonet mount and screw in the single locking screw to keep it secure.Once in place, the fan works very well and operates as expected. It's just what we needed, in that it has a compact diameter (22") but moves a lot of air when you need it to. It looks great in our kitchen.A couple of additional observations: the circular bottom lamp doesn't light up the upper half of a room very well. I wish it had a hemispherical diffuser on it instead of a recessed flat surface, so the light could illuminate more of the upper area of a room (kitchen cabinets, for example). Also, the "natural wind" fan setting feels like the lowest fan speed (number 1) - I couldn't tell the difference when comparing the two, despite the Amazon product page seeming to suggest that it's the lowest speed of all. The manual says the speed is supposed to increase and decrease like the wind, but I couldn't detect this and would find it annoying anyway. I wish it would just be a lower speed, like a breeze. The benefits of this fan far outweigh the minor issues I encountered, and we're glad we bought it.

High quality product.
I ordered 2 fans but after installing the first one it was obvious that the second one was not necessary. This is a very efficient design.

Pushes a lot of air.
I got this for my outside patio cover. The fan was overall simple to put together once looking through the instructions. Really easy to hang, and wire up. The blades push a lot of air for how small this fan is. Quite impressed with that part of the fan. The remote is quite useful with different settings for fan speed and timers. I wish there were more timer options for the light and fan on a separate timer.Overall happy with the performance of the fan.

Looks Beautiful
I absolutely love this fan. Purchased it to put in my kitchen by the back entrance. It is super quiet! Air flow is great! Can adjust light and it is perfect! And I love the nice clean look it has! It is easy to clean which is very important to me.

Inexpensive plastic that doesn't move enough air.
An interesting alternative that just misses the mark. Built of inexpensive plastic, that looks like inexpensive plastic (even from a distance). A bit noise at the faster fan speeds, and doesn't really move the air like a conventional ceiling fan. Not a great option for us.

Good for the price
Works well in my daughter's room.

Missing Parts
The motor assembly was stuck together and hard to get apart to remove the styrofoam that was in there sticking out. I thought maybe I would find the remote and other parts inside there but there wasn't any remote. And also part "F" was missing, as well as a few screws. It would have made more sense to have the whole thing pre assembled correctly rather than having them all jammed together in a tiny box inside a larger box. I was so excited for this and now don't even want a replacement.

Half The Size And A Fourth Of The Weight Of Our Old Fan... But It's Better In So Many Ways
I had been wanting to replace the ceiling fan in our TV area with one that was more flush to the ceiling. I saw this slochi ceiling fan, and even though it was much smaller, I liked that it matched what I wanted. I also liked the features that it had, so I ordered it.When it arrived, I found that I could install it by attaching the base plate of the ceiling fan to the existing junction box using the two screws that came in the package. This was a much better option than having to drill holes and use anchors and screws to attach the plate to the ceiling. Once the base was connected, the fan itself just twisted onto the base, and locked in place. I was happy to see once I finished that the fan was about 9" closer to the ceiling than our old ceiling fan.All of the fan's functions are done by remote control, so there aren't any chains to pull or switches that have to be flipped. And, the remote is easy to operate which is a good thing.I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of this small ceiling fan! It's less than half the size, and is one-fourth of the weight of the old ceiling fan it replaced. But, it actually creates more airflow and has more wind speed settings (six) than our old fan (only three). Plus, not only are we getting brighter lighting than before, we are also getting three different light colors instead of one, and all three are dimmable. This new fan is so much better than what we had before. It runs rather quietly, and the color (white) really blends in well with the ceiling and the decor of the room. We are now able to sit and use the remote to control the wind speed and lights, instead of having to get up and do it manually. This allows us to watch TV with less interruptions, which have made things much more enjoyable.

Brilliant bathroom light
Wanted to replace an old fashioned bathroom light, was worried about whether it would be bright enough but WOW! it's so bright and definitely the easiest light I've ever installed due to it's clip in connections. The light comes in two parts, the base that you fit to the ceiling and wire in then the light itself which is a twist fit to the base. Added bonus when you decorate, just twist the light light to remove it, paint up to the base then put the light back. So impressed I ordered another one for our utility room.

Slim, very bright lights
To date I have installed 4 of the 6 lights in the package (the other two are awaiting some finishing touches on a room renovation before being used). So far I'm pleased with the lights. Easy to install (though I would modify parts of the instructions to make it easier, as feeding the wires through the fixed base plate isn't as easy as feeding the wires through the base plate and then attaching the base plate to the electrical box mount). These are very (very!) bright and that, combined with a slim profile, makes them almost disappear - so they look like pot lights rather than light fixtures. I'm hoping they last as promised, but only time will tell. Based on my experience so far I'd definitely recommend these fixtures.

Super bright, very low profile
Love the brightness, and the fact they look recessed when installed. Took off one star as they seem very cold and blue, way more than the 5000k that’s indicated on their specs. Probably more like 6000. Still, I’m very impressed, and for a garage they’re perfect.

Simple installation, very bright
Very simple to install, super bright light, maybe too bright - now I see all the flaws in my paint job.
