Steve Madden Men's Wakken Dress Shoe

I'm quite picky with shoes, and realize that any review of them is rather subjective with many individual factors and preferences. That said, here is why I personally offer 5 stars, with the only caveat being that I update reviews based on whether products live up to reasonable expectation.1. I have standard-width, size 13 feet, and these fit perfectly. Their low to medium arch support works fine for me, I generally seek neutral shoes.2. Dig the worn suede uppers. Yes, they are supposed to look a bit aged/worn on the toes and heels.3. Nice sole color-contrast (I bought shoes in brown).4. Having only worn these a few days over the past week, bit premature to comment on how these will wear over time. I've done roughly 5 miles of walking sidewalks/asphalt and the soles look like they may wear a bit more quickly than other quality shoes I have, but for the price, fit, and comfort, I won't particularly mind having these re-soled a bit sooner than other shoes. That said, if they end up wearing-down much to quickly, I'll update this review.5. I've received a number of complements on them, after wearing just a handful of times. I don't rate heavily based on compliments, but it sure doesn't hurt!

I was looking for some new wingtip shoes and found these on Amazon.I have been very impressed with the comfort of the shoe. I am able to wear them all day and they still feel great. The color is nice and the styling is very contemporary.Two minor things I have experienced with these. First, the toe which came smooth almost distressed looking has relaxed and is almost all suede like the rest of the shoe. I don't mind too much but I really did like the look. Second, in a couple spots inside the lining has come apart from the shoe. Again, not a big issue but I would have expected a little better quality.Overall:I would recommend these as a comfortable and stylish shoe.

I absolutely love the look and feel of these shoes. But the the thing I love the best about the Wakken is the fit and comfort. I have small feet with a high insole and usually have to buy shoes that are a little large creating all sorts of issues while walking. The Wakken fit me perfectly and therefore became my top choice out of my closet.Unfortunately, after wearing them about 75% of the time for two weeks, one shoe started to break apart along the vamp perforations. I noticed that these perforations no longer have the dark backing and you can see all the way into the shoe. Since no other reviewer had any quality complaints, I'm guessing that I'm the unlucky guy that ended with the outlying bad pair. I wanted to give them another try but my size is no longer available. Very disappointing. I'm taking a couple of stars because of the quality issues I experienced.

Steve Madden shoes always fit me well. For a comparison.. I wear a size 10 Nike shoe and also wear a 10 Steve Madden so the sizes run normal. Shoes look great, wear well, received many compliments, bottom soles are nice quality and durable. I'd recommend these to anyone who is looking for a pair of dressier shoes for jeans etc. These shoes are not meant for suits or the like but definitely look great with jeans. As someone noted before, the toe and heal have a rubbed/worn look that is supposed to be like that...check the pictures carefully. When I received them I knew about the worn rubbed look on the toe and heal and it looks fine..

I was not sure if these shoes would be actually good only looking at the picture on the computer screen. But because it's quite a discount (about 70% less), I ordered a brown pair anyway. And what a surprise ! These are very good looking and comfortable shoes ! On Friday I wore these shoes in the office, and I got lots of compliments. I went back to Amazon to order a black pair, but the price went up double now. I will wait until it goes down again.

This is a really beautiful and good quality shoe as I have come to expect from Steve Madden. the size is perfect, they are just a bit narrow but I am sure they will stretch some with wear as they are real leather. Great shoe at an even better price!

the only downside i would say it they are not as pointy as i expected. a little more round at the tip than i thought. and the shoelace quality is not too great. But really good shoes especially for this price

Got a pair for $30 and pretty much what you would expect for the price. Cheaply made and and the comfort is just fair. I bought them to keep in my office for those rainy days when I need to wear rain boots to/from the house, so they serve the purpose they were purchased for great.
