A must read - extremely useful
After reading Dee's previous book, The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book , I pre ordered The 15 Essential Marketing Masterclasses for Your Small Business a few months ago and genuinely felt like an excited child at xmas morning when it finally arrived.I had my head buried in the book for hours, only eventually putting it down to get a couple of hours sleep before I started work.Dee offers plenty of sound advice that is jargon free and easy to make sense of. It's packed with sound advice and full of tips for any business owner to put into practice. This isn't just a book, it's a great all round marketing tool that I guarantee you'll want to read over and over again.I've read plenty of small business and marketing books that offered the world and more and claimed to be the latest must read book for success but in reality offered little more than simple common sense.I know lots of small business owners won't bother to read a marketing book but if you do, make sure this is the one. It's a small price to pay for some sound advice and it's certainly a lot cheaper than 1000 flyers aimed at nobody specific that only lead to maybe a couple of sales at best.Overall I rate this as a must read whether you're an established business owner or are just starting out. Fantastic and Practical Bite Size Learning
I think it was a couple of years ago that I first encountered Dee on Twitter. Initially I probably didn't pay a lot of attention because she was just another marketer. But over a period of time I started to notice how informative her tweets were and how she made complex ideas seem very straightforward. So, I bought her first book and started to read without too many expectations. I was impressed! I am quite a critical reader when it comes to areas that I train/coach people in and Dee definitely got my attention. So when I heard that she was about to release another book I decided that I had to read it. Now I would suggest that you don't buy this book if you are looking for a turgid academic examination of marketing. However, if you want simple and very practical ideas for your marketing activity as a small business owner, that you can read about, apply, test and refine then this is definitely the book for you.In fact, I genuinely think this is one of the best small business marketing books I have read in a long time. Why? because Dee writes in a very down to earth style, provides real life examples, offers tools and resources that you can adapt and use in your business and above all else makes sense!

Marketers Masterpiece
To be transparent I know Dee but seldom buy business books. Many are re-hashes with too much theory compounded by an Americanized slant. In midst of re-branding 'myself' I needed a marketing focus, so it was irresistible...Each Master-class is highly relevant, packed with information, delivered simply, summarized with action plans. No science/jargon, only practical advice that's do-able. This means business owners don't need to be rocket scientists. Dee also harnesses other masters of disciplines - people she has worked with to get better results. Each section is backed with real case studies from her clients who can be cross-checked. There are excellent resources (generously shared) to further help get traction without wasting time/money. Dee's not a "fluffy marketer" but engages with sales/business development disciplines, softening processes to create more opportunity to sell effectively. An important book. Published by a 'leading' house. Crucially CIM (Chartered Institute Marketing) branded. Likely to remain the bench-mark resource for SME's. Buy it - top value!

Essential book for small businesses!
This is a great book on small business marketing. I now have three of Dee Blick's publications and each one is an invaluable resource, full of sensible information and practical, implementable advice that doesn't require a huge marketing budget. I bought this book after reading rave reviews on Amazon about 15 months ago when I was in the process of starting up a new business. I recently delved into it again for a 3rd small business and I'm really glad that I did.About a month ago I had the good fortune of hearing Dee speak on a podcast and her style 'on air' was delightfully no-nonsense. Since then I have engaged with Dee on social media and she has been kind enough to offer me a few tips on certain marketing matters I was confused about. I cannot rate Dee and her helpful books highly enough. If there were 51/2 stars I would have clicked that instead!

Superb practical advice that SMEs can use easily
I saw Dee speak at the Pro Copywriters Network Conference in October 2013 and she was superb. She's an engaging, informative and friendly speaker - and because she dictates all her writing, I suspected her books would be equally as enjoyable. 15 Essential Marketing Masterclasses didn't disappoint. It's great - very easy to read and understand.I'm a copywriter, so I do have an understanding of marketing strategy - but it always seemed like too big a task to actually sit down and do. However, Dee's book breaks everything down into bite-sized pieces and makes it all seem much more manageable. I've started writing my marketing plan, and have scheduled time every few weeks to review and refine it.There's advice for people who don't write for a living, which is very useful. The chapter on PR is great. And there are plenty of strategies for small businesses and entrepreneurs to pick up and run with. It's a brilliant book for small businesses and the self-employed, because Dee makes everything seem non-threatening and eminently do-able. You can dip in and out of it as and when you need specific advice - or sail through the whole thing (which is what I'm doing) then come back to it when you need to.Highly recommended.
