You probably can install this new closer on your exiting brackets in which case installation could take as little as 2 minutes. Regarding the included part that connects to the door frame, your installation might need a bracket that attaches to the front AND side of the door frame which is a different bracket than is included in this item. Search Amazon for FLORIDA JAMB BRACKET. Don't throw away any of the hardware from your existing closer until the new closer is installed in case you need some parts from the old closer. I'd suggest taking a pic of your existing closer before removing so that you can easily see which way the brackets should be oriented during the installation.When I installed this new closer it worked perfectly without the need to adjust closing speed. The only minor issue that I had with this item is that it is difficult to remove the parts from the packaging. Use scissors.

Works well but is not the proper replacement for my lanai screen door. The wood jam piece needed to be plastic, this one is metal. I made the unit work by reversing the door receiver section and using the original mounts. Would be fine for most normal installations.

I installed this in less than 5 minutes. It fit the old hardware so I didn't even have to change that out. My screen door used to slam shut. Now, it come to a stop, then closes. Well worth the money so far. Hopefully it lasts.

I remodeled my kitchen and my back screen door closer needed replacing, badly. It was convenient and fast shipping to order from Amazon then traveling to a box store. The assembly was installed and working in about 15 minutes.

Storm doors come in metal and rarely wood, in our area. But, only screws included were for wood door. Otherwise, seems to be a good product.

I would say not that bad quality. But it’s not as expected.
