Mafia Target Hit the Spot
This might be the softest and sweetest Mila Finelli so far. But please, don't let that fool you. We still have two filthy men who want to do dirty things to each other. Especially after un-aliving people.Sure Alessio wants to kill Guilio but he's also very drawn to him and Alessio isn't exactly a people person. [Ok, "wants" might be a strong word but he has been hired to kill Guilio by Enzo who apparently is so wrapped up in Gia and her piercing that he's forgotten to call off the hit on Gia's brother-in-law's son which could really make Christmas dinner awkward if Alessio succeeds, am I right?] Guilio also feels a very strong attraction to Alessio despite not wanting to love again after his last lover was murdered before his eyes. But these two just can't leave each other alone. Whenever they are on the page together, you can feel the electricity. They verbally spar and it's so entertaining and witty.Alessio and Guilio reach a detente so they can just bang it out of their systems and then resume the normal assassin/target "relationship." So, the two of them, ensconced in this bubble, fogged up with the steam, rising off their sweaty, writhing, bodies become lovers and gasp, friends (!?). But like every bubble relationship, at some point they must return to the harsh reality and judgment of the real world. The jarring return to the real world hurt my heart. Alessio may be the best assassin money can buy but he's also human, trying to recover from his past, attempting companionship in the present, and hoping for a future with Guilio. But then, enters Fausto. Murder of love and third act breakup catalyst. As sweet as Guilio is, he is still the son of a mafia king and has enemies. He's come into his own by earning those enemies from his own actions though and not just being Fausto's son. That's growth, right? There's a good bit of mafia politics as we deduce who is trying to kill Guilio (besides Alessio; gah to BE so popular) which sometimes confused me but by the end of the book, I got it.And not to discredit the rest of the book but...that epilogue. I cannot wait for "end of year 2023" to see what's next.

Hot Mafia Romance
This was probably the best mafia romance I have read in a long time. Like a LONG time. And if I still read MF romances regularly I would go back and read this authors other works in this series, that’s how hot this book was. The story was solid, the chemistry was smoking freaking hot. Like god dang it’s so good. If there are more MM in this series I will pop back on and take a look for sure.

Great MM Mafia Romance
Away from the protection his powerful mafia family offers, Giulio has been on a mission to find the men responsible for murdering his partner. The dangerous life he’s leading is nothing new to him. After all, he was supposed to be the next Don Ravazzani. Drug trades, hits on his life, and dark club hookups are his normal. What he wasn’t expecting? The gorgeous brute he met last night being the hitman hired to end him.Alessandro Ricci is known throughout the most powerful circles in the world as the person to call when a target needs to be eliminated. He’s a machine, a trained killer, and he never misses. That was until four years ago when the most gorgeous pair of blue eyes took his attention away from the mission. Now he’s back to finish the job. Except, the mafia prince is even more gorgeous than he remembers. And how could anyone resist when a man as beautiful as Giulio Ravazzani puts you on your knees? They can’t exist in each other’s world. Hooking up again is definitely not an option. But when weeks go by in their standoff with neither willing to pull the trigger, things change. Can they call a truce and find a way out of their situation together, or will they be forced to ruin each other? This was the first book in this series that I’ve read and I was not disappointed! The author drops you right into the action of the story and it hooks you from the first chapter. Giulio and Alessio’s dynamic is phenomenal and makes their situation so much more challenging. I loved all the Italian pet-names and protective hero vibes both MC’s give off.I’ll definitely be going back to read the rest of the series after this one and I hope to see these two again in future books!

🤩 WOW
Amazing book! I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. I actually read the series in order, and I loved how it followed the story line. I can’t wait for the 5th book about Emma 😍 I would re read this series.

Amazing!
I am always nervous about reading series because I feel like it can sometimes be hard to live up to the first one……. But this one right here! Might just be my favorite of the series so far. I really enjoyed getting to see Giulio come into his own (him standing up to Fausto was very satisfying).I almost immediately fell in love with Alessio’s character. I’m not sure what it was about him, but I was always eager to read and get to his pov. I own all the others as audiobooks, so am very much looking forward to this one.

5 Best one so far in the series
This had to be my favorite out of series so far. I love that Giulio found a new love. Alessio was great. They were perfect for each other. They had their struggles and love how Francesca once again supported Giulio, they really do have a special bond. Thus was a beautiful story and hot.

This book is a freaking fantastic read and you won't be able to put it down!
To me, the best books are the ones that make you feel every single emotion, that make you cry.Mila Finelli's Mafia Target is one of those amazing books. Giulio's story is everything I was hoping for and more. It's enemies to lovers and forbidden love with both alpha hero and anti hero. There is action, adventure, romance, spice, and all the mafia feels. His love interest is morally grey, hot as sin, and I want an Alessio for myself. Gah! And the way they first meet- it's one of those scenes that was written perfectly, I'd love to see it on the big screen one day! This book is a freaking fantastic read and you won't be able to put it down! I swear, I love The Kings of Italy series more and more with each book. 10/10 I definitely recommend!!

Steamy, dark, M/M mafia romance
This steamy, dark Mafia Romance (M/M) by Mila Finelli sets the bar high for enemies-to-lovers romances. Giulio is the ex-heir to a mafia empire and Alessio is the assassin send to kill him. They are both hot and dangerous, and just can’t keep deciding if they should kill each other or rip their clothes off and follow their insane attraction.Oh, and the ‘I’m getting hot watching you kill people’ seems to be a recurring theme and not helping in the ‘kill or be together’ decision making process.Read this for:- the ultimate enemies to lovers trope- explicit, steamy m/m scenes- a suspenseful storyline with on-page violence that also includes the main characters (As you can expect from a dark romance, the MCs are not just morally grey, they are actually the type of characters you’d not want to be known to.)- the experience of several locations all across Europe including Italy, Scotland, and Spain- Italian pet names, endearments, swear words, and other Italian vocabulary you might or might not expectWhile this is book 4 of a series and characters from previous books still play larger roles at times in this story, Mafia Target can still be read as a stand-alone.I can’t wait for the next book in the series.Content guidance:- on page > violence incl torture and murder, homophobia, substance use (cocaine, vaping, cigarettes, alcohol), drug dealing, use of weapons (knives, rifles, handguns)- brief mentions of kidnapping, murder of a parent, parental abandonment, abuse of women and minors

3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one is not as good as the others, I had such high hopes given how much I loved them but this one didn’t hit the mark. Given my usual enjoyment of MM romances this was a bit surprising. The story show promise and the characters are okay but I didn’t believe in the romance and the third act break up made it worse for me. I’m hoping the next one will be back on track.

🖤 Alessio & Giulio 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/6.🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.Honestly if i didn't had to go to work, I would've read this in one sitting. That's how invested i was in this. I was looking forward to this and for me it delivered what i wanted from Giulio and the best assassin in the world, Alessio. I loved the whole stalker-ish situation going on too.I loved everything Alessio! I loved his backstory, him before Giulio but even more so after Giulio. The man has a heart of gold but it was hidden beneath layers of feeling like no one ever wanted him besides his Nonna and also feeling like no one ever expected him to be someone besides his job in a way. Once Giulio started peeling his layers without even meaning to, it was gold to me seeing him be himself and it was amazing seeing him from what he actually was and not just the best assassin in the world. I loved every single second of him even when he was going head to head with Giulio.I loved Giulio since Mafia Mistress really and had a lot of compassion for him. I loved learning more about him and after the previous books i was very curious to know wth happened during the 4 years after he left ' The Castello'. I really loved his character but he did drove me a bit crazy. After learning Alessio's secret he became very frustrating to me. Obviously i got where he was coming from but also it was a big reaction from him. Like Alessio said, it was just a job to him and in some ways Giulio understood that but still chose the angry path and cutting him off for good instead of just giving them some time. Of course Fausto also didn't helped matters, cause you know, he's Fausto.Alessio said some things that couldn't rang truer to me. I felt the hurt and i was beyond frustrated with Giulio.“I know it is a big deal. I just hoped that you loved me enough to get past it. But you don’t even want to try. You won’t even hear me out.”At this point he had already explain everything to Giulio and he still chose the easiest path. To me it's easier to stay angry than work through it.Then Alessio said exactly what i was thinking and i even made a note saying: 'Yes! Finally someone tells me what the problem actually is! Giulio was getting on my nerves!'This is what he said to Giulio and then the ball was in his court.“And I have apologized and begged your forgiveness for it. Yet you are determined to hold onto your anger like a badge of honor. Too proud to forgive because of how it might look to your stupid mafia and precious father. Too scared to be your own man.”I loved the turnaround and how Giulio took care of things and Fausto. I loved seeing stand up to his father and telling him basically that he is not the boss of everyone around him. Fausto had to accept Alessio for better or for worse and i loved how Giulio did it. Fausto had it coming 😊.I loved seeing Fausto, Frankie and Rafe again. I loved that Giulio wanted to first build a small empire and maybe someday take over Fausto's, who knows.I loved these two and i can't wait for the next one!
