A Maker's Dream: Arduino UNO R4 WiFi Review
The latest Arduino UNO R4 WiFi board is nothing short of a revelation for DIY electronics enthusiasts like myself. This board is a significant upgrade, featuring built-in WiFi and an integrated 12x8 LED matrix, which I found to be exceptionally useful for my projects that visually display data or status information. One of the standout features of this board is its connectivity. With both WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, the possibilities for networked and IoT projects are vast and exciting. I was able to connect easily to the internet and other devices, which expanded what I could do with my projects. The addition of USB-C for power and programming also makes the board more future-proof and user-friendly.The quality of the board is exactly what you would expect from Arduino—robust and reliable. The performance is stellar; I've used it to create everything from simple LED displays to more complex networked sensors without a hitch. The integrated OP AMP and DAC are great for more advanced applications requiring precise analog and digital conversions. The documentation provided by Arduino remains top-notch, making it easy to get started and to troubleshoot any issues. I particularly appreciated the inclusion of the Qwiic Connector, which simplifies adding a wide range of sensors and peripherals without soldering.Overall, the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi is an excellent choice for anyone from hobbyists to seasoned makers looking to explore the capabilities of connected devices. It’s a versatile, high-quality board that offers great value for money and opens up a new horizon of possibilities for creative projects. Highly recommended for its performance and ease of use!

Great Arduino for teaching the kids
It is an Arduino-branded product and a nice quality board for using with Arduino projects to teach the kids programming and how these work. It is sometimes hard to find these at a decent price, but it is a worthwhile investment if you want to learn how to program these or even use them for projects around the house. Some of the knock-off brands have issues with the boards, and I have yet to have a problem with an Arduino. If you are newer to the Arduino world then it is also good to note that if you purchase an Arduino-branded product, it works easily and quickly with the Arduino desktop software, so there is minimal need to go and search for the device to get it up and running.

Great for all kinds of hobbies
If you want to learn Arduino it's the way to go. Pretty decent value with the LED matrix. Very fun to use with some of the starter scripts. It is a very nice and well built little board. Not sure of the speed because that isn't something a person like me could test.

Works Great!
The WIFI and Blu-tooth add to the utility of the R4 board. Be careful though as max amp draw has been reduced.

Has Internal RTC!
Absolutely works perfectly! I selected the R4 WiFi primarily for the built-in Real Time Clock (RTC) module, necessary for my project. The clock can be backed up with a 3.2V coin cell - a dedicated set of pins for the external keep alive batteryare provided. If ones application needs the usual external DS3231, etc. clock modules, the UNO R4 is a good bet for eliminating jumper wires and clutter.

great quality microcontroller.
I mean there isn’t really much to say, I used it and it performed well. The only caveat is that it isn’t able to perform fast enough for my rotary encoders. I optimized my coding as much as I could and I could get about two working at max rotation speed. I had five to test out and it worked okay until I tried three. They stopped reading some of the updates and began to register positive numbers only when I rotated the knobs slowly. The display screen works perfectly though. I feel that things that need to get new update states as frequently as possible to work well is not really the best way to use this. But it still works very well and I can just have the knobs change to negative or positive with a single knob since I have so many. Overall, great microcontroller. I still haven’t tested out the wireless transmission or built-in leds yet so hopefully when I get to that it will work as it should. Very great. The hardware is well built and soldering is as expected. Currently I am testing out an led strip controller with knobs and a display screen and that is working well so far. Very nice.

accurate
These worked great on a homemade project to build a 3D dog replica.
