Chocolate Vanilla Crispy Rice Treats!

We love these crispy bars so much. They’re one of our favorite things for dieting. The strawberry flavors are favorite and we can’t get enough of them. With the low calories and the high protein it’s a great snack to curb your cravings. They might be a little expensive, but sometimes you have to pay for things that are good. For anyone dieting and looking for an alternative to a candy bar or need something sweet this is a great thing to keep in your cupboard.

TL:DR: Good for an occasional sweet treat, but too pricey. I'm making some serious LIFESTYLE changes y'all and the struggle is REAL to find things that that taste great, have high protein content, and don't leave me feeling like I am eating a cardboard box in the sweets department. I was happy to find that these have a very nominal aftertaste, no fake alternative sugar taste which is pleasant. They manage to placate that place in my heart which needs a "sugar" crave every now and then. The general content leaves me wanting. They're a bit on the small size for their price. The bars are fluffy, albeit a bit dry. The texture is a little more crispy than a traditional puffed rice. The chocolate coating / drizzle melts easy, so they're not going to be great for an on the go / trail walk / outdoor activity bag unless you're keen on it getting a bit melty and messy. $18 bucks for 7 brings them to roughly $2.60 each, which is high for the size; I don't find them worth the money for a regular protein snack, but I'd purchase as an occasional sweet "treat". They're not going to be a staple in my cupboard, but when I really need something sweet, these will make it into the occasional rotation.

If you ever wondered what sawdust would taste like if you coated it in fake sweetener and pressed it into a bar, then try this. Seriously though, I eat a lot of high protein alternative snacks like this, and have a pretty high tolerance for things that taste a little weird. The taste might be tolerable, but combined with the grainy mouth feel, this was just inedible to me. I ate a whole one to give it a chance, but trying a second I couldn’t go beyond the first bite. Too bad because I would love a high protein rice crispy treat.

The protein to calories ratio is very good, but the taste of these aren’t relatively the best. I have tried many protein bars and snacks and these rank mid-low range. The texture is okay… it’s not like a rice crispy. It’s like a dry version of it. The chocolate doesn’t help too much. I don’t recommend these. This won’t satisfy your sweet tooth. I would go for the trending brands for a protein snack/bar instead of this.

I was hoping that I found a snack that would satisfy my sweet tooth and keep me satiate until my next meal. I didn’t like these although others might. The texture was gritty and tastes nothing like rice crispy treats. A bit on the dry side. The icing tastes good. They also gave me indigestion. Definitely not for me.
