It's everything it claims to be
EcoTank ET-2830.Coming from an old Epson inkjet, we wanted something simple that was easy to setup, clear to understand, integrated with smart phones and so on. This did it all. Up and running in 10 minutes, via the app that makes everything easy to setup. The ink refill was a revelation. Gone is the awkward getting the cartridges into the right place, to remove, replace, get back into the right place. Simple process here. Open the compartment, open the colour area, slot the ink bottle on, allow the ink to drain in (with auto stop when the tank is full), then reverse the process. Simple, clean (no spill).Nicely integrated into the app, allowing direct print, scan, etc.Just easy.If you're after a simple document style printer, without any bells and whistles or rush to print, this is it. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic printer
Wow love this printer. Easy to set up, great app to control all printing and scanning. It's fast and silent. I've printed photos as well and thought the quality was excellent. I would definitely recommend this printer.

Beautiful photographs
I did not want a printer that was too complicated, but a printer that was reliable, easy to use and capable of printing decent quality photographs. The EcoTank 2830 prints out photographs of exceptional quality. I use Epson Ultra Glossy photo paper and the results are superb.

Poor print quality
The printer is very fast and does not require proprietary or very good inks. Unfortunately, the MAC version of the driver offers few printing options to choose from. Using inks dedicated to the printer will not significantly improve the print quality, other Epson printers can do much more. The control panel is very simple and each option is selected using a physical button.

This printer was everything my man wanted for Christmas!
Quiet, efficient, easy to set up, no ink spills (the filling method was seamless) we tried a colour document and a photo and both were very high quality, would highly recommend for home office.

Awful, is what this ET-2830 machine should be rebranded
I spent a considerable amount of time researching printers and I have to say I was prepared to give Epson a chance, but oh my goodness their connectivity is appalling. It took nearly 3+ hours of faffing about to even get the printer to recognise some basic things like my phone and laptop. Despite all items being on the same WiFi. I literally had to put my phone onto the printer before it recognised it. The usb cable was no better for non WiFi connection. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this ET-2830 printer. It’s flimsy as, when it did start printing the drivers couldn’t be installed and printed out nonsense. When I was able to eventually get the phone to connect the photo quality was shocking, honestly no idea how anyone can rate this machine. I’ve since returned within a day that’s a new record, and gone for the HP colour laser m255 which is a lot bigger and cost £20’less arrived quicker and within minutes of me loading was up and running lessons learned stick to what you know. I appreciate HP get a poor rap at times but they’re so much easier to work with. Beware of Epson printers.

Hopeless installation guide for Wifi
I’ve just managed to setup this printer on my home network after a few hours of trying! All went well using the online guide until it came to setting up Wi-Fi connectivity. This apparently requires a password found on a label attached to the printer. Careful inspection on every available surface on and in my printer failed to show any such label. There was one with the serial no. but this wasn’t accepted. Epson’s online help chat bot hung at the mere mention of a password. Eventually downloading and reading the manual showed how to use the printer’s WPS setup - failed to work. Finally I noticed that by using a couple of buttons you could print the connection details including the WPS PIN No. which was accepted as the password in the Wi-Fi setup. After this all was plain sailing and I am happy with the purchase so far.Over the years I have installed many printers including at least four on Wi-Fi. Epson’s stupid lack of a password label made this the most frustrating of all
