Amazing bit of kit here.
This is one of those bits of tech you always think you can do without, until you use it! Makes accessing loose sata drives incredibly easy. Just drop the drive (3.5/2.5") into the bay and that's it. Super fast transfer speeds. Works every time all the time. Also, tried out the drive copy feature (This thing does a HD --> HD copy without being connected to a PC) and it works perfectly. The build quality is very good and the manual provided gives clear and detailed instructions on how to operate. Love this device.

Nice piece of kit.
Trouble-free hassle, works fine, doesn't seem to cut out on heavy multi-TB transfers. (using Ubuntu).Easy to swap drives.Easy to access power switch.Recommended.

Excellent addition to any PC first-aid box
Purchased this to check a number of old SATA drives before they were to be scrapped to ensure I wasn't releasing any confidential information. The unit itself is easy to use, and was even capable enough to read a drive with a broken SATA connector where the plastic had snapped off. It worked flawlessly on my Debian Linux PC without requiring any additional drivers. The only downsides I found was the build quality and the width of the drive bay. Any drive you insert must have all the side mounting screws and brackets removed or the drive will not fit. Not a show stopper, and probably a quite sensible design to ensure a proper connection, but an additional step nonetheless. The build quality though seems rather cheap. The lid seems to be an afterthought, and will probably be the first to fail. I'm not sure if the case itself would survive a drop into the floor, especially if a hard drive was inside.Other than that, an excellent purchase if you need to read a bare SATA drive without dismantling your PC. It is certainly worth the purchase if you have a lot of drives to read and prevents any "accidents" if the drive is left balanced somewhere due to not securing it properly.

SO easy to get it up and running.
I got a new computer recently and before getting rid of the old one he removed the hard drive. I didn’t think that I would need it again, but I recently realised I needed something off it. So I asked my son was there any way that I could get something to turn this into an external drive. He pointed me towards this. It’s not to small or too large.. I plugged it into the mains and connected it to a USB drive on my computer and up it popped as a new external drive. It was as simple as that and I was then able to access the Data that I required. It can take two hard drive and even more functionality. It looks good, but it is of a slight build. It doesn’t need to be big and bulky as it’s really just two slots for hard drives.

It works reliably, even on old wonky disks. What more do you want?
I had an older drive dock that was failing to read disks consistently. It would read a lot of gig then my pc would eject the dock. As it was happening on several disks I decided to buy this sabrent on the off chance it was the disk dock. It worked a treat, some of my disks are years old backup disks but this baby read them fine on the first go. So 5 stars, a good price and it saved me loads of grief.

SABRENT USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station
Okay, so I picked up this SABRENT USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station, and honestly? It’s such a lifesaver. I had like a million random files sitting on old hard drives, and this thing made it super easy to access them. No tools, no hassle—just plug it in, and boom, instant storage solution. The best part? It’s FAST. Like, ridiculously fast. I’m talking up to 5 Gbps transfer speeds when paired with USB 3.2. So whether I’m backing up my music, movies, or—yeah, let’s be real—my endless stream of memes, this docking station totally handles it without breaking a sweat. Plus, it supports drives up to 22TB. Like, who even has that much stuff? But hey, it’s nice to know I’ll probably never run out of space.Oh, and it works with Windows, Mac, and Linux, so no matter what device you’ve got, it’ll play nice. If you’re looking for a docking station that’s simple, fast, and actually does what it promises, this is the one. Seriously, 10/10 would recommend to anyone who’s tired of juggling old drives.

A HDD Destroyer
First time I used this gizmo, it seemed to work fine - I could read & write to my HDDs without any trouble - first a single HDD - then 2 together - no apparent problems - second time however .... different story - on loading up the HDDs (same ones as I used before), I was greeted by a message stating that "this disk needs to be initialised before you can use it" - same message for both disks - tried them on a different device - one which has worked fine for many years but has a slower USB connection - no change - both HDDs now completely unreadable - all data on both .... lost forever - if you wish to lose all your data, then this is definitely the device for you - although, to be honest, you could simply reformat your HDDs - same result - but far less expense - never going to touch anything from this company ever again

Good value enclosure for backup
I was looking for an enclosure for use with backing up my PC on a regular basis. I found the SABRENT product to have all the features I needed. SATA drives installed easily under the hinged lid, with cables of adequate length for the neat power supply adaptor and USB connection. Importantly from my point of view it also incorporates an on/switch on the unit which allows me to switch it on when when backing up but isolating the back up from the PC when not in use
