Q: The box says for age 5 and the site says for age 8. Which is it and why?

I don't think age is anything to do with it.I was always complaining about the weather so my son bought it for my Christmas so I can keep a record.Im 69 yrs of age. I like it.

Q: This says it has an anemometer which seems unlikely given the price, does it really measure wind speed?

Bought it few years ago for grandchild so bit vague I'm afraid. I think it has a little 'cup' which spins round so you can see if wind is fast or slow but it doesn't actually record anything. Fun thing for little ones to learn weather basics but quite flimsy as I remember. Hope this helps.
