Easy to Instal, works well with other routers, comes with plug for US, EU and UK
I'm using it in Europe to change connection location and keep using my subscriptions from before moving country. My set up is:1) fibre2) router from service provider3) Aircove4) Mesh WiFiInstallation is simple:1) plug in Aircove - it comes with an electric socket for US, UK and EU2) connect to it via wifi or cable on your computer/phone/tablet3) visit its short URL to customise what you want, like:· the wifi name and password· the name of your devices connected to it· which connected devices will connect to VPN when you turn it on and which won't be affected by itInterfaceIf you're using a smartphone or tablet, there is no app to access the router, but if you add the web page to your home screen (share button), it will feel like an app.As your connected devices appear on the list, you might not recognise their names so I recommend connecting them one by one and renaming them as they appear, so that you know which is which between, say, the TV, the game console, your work laptop, the tablet or the phone. To move them from a category (say, "connect to VPN") to another (say, "never on VPN"), just press/click and hold on the device name on the list, and drag it left or right.Connection SpeedBecause connecting to a different location literally means your internet signal going to THAT location and back to your place, you WILL lose speed, but it's not bad, but even before we switched to 900 Mbps fibre, when we were on a 76 Mbps connection and the VPN cut it in half, we could still stream in 4K 🙂If you're testing the speed, I recommend trying different locations, as some could be closer to you and maintain greater speed.WiFiIf you just use the WiFi from your Aircove, then it will recognise each device individually and for each you can select if you want it to connect to VPN or not. However, as I use Mesh WiFi, the Aircove only sees the Mesh WiFi connected to it, it does not see the devices connected to the Mesh WiFi. Therefore if you want to choose what to connect to VPN and what not to, with Mesh WFi this will happen at the WiFi level. So on the ExpressVPN menu, I have 1 device for the whole Mesh WiFi network, it's all or nothing in that case. What's Mesh WiFi, you may ask. If you struggle with WiFi signal in certain places in your home, I recommend it if you can afford it (great Christmas present!), you have one pod per location where you want to expand the signal, it broadcasts its own WiFi signal and each pod you buy will expand that same signal further, meaning that, contrary to WiFi extenders where if you're talking on WhatsApp it will cut and connect you to the extender, the Mesh Wifi is the same signal everywhere.Separate RouterI have a separate router connected to the Aircove, for the TV and the 2 game consoles because I couldn't figure out how else to connect 3 devices on the 1 network cable running from the Aircove in the house entrance to the TV unit in the living room, but the Aircove still recognises each device individually through that other router which is great. If you're "upgrading" with Aircove from an older router where you had custom-installed ExpressVPN, and want to use both on the same network, then I recommend looking for the original firmware of your older router and bringing it back to its original set up. Else the two ExpressVPN routers won't work well together, you'll never know which the "app" is accessing and it's a nightmare.

Getting a second one
I will receive it within a couple of days. I was able to set up a password for it, and they added it to my network on the same day. My internet TV setup is significantly more straightforward with this unit. I'm considering getting a second one for another part of my house. I would recommend getting one if you're about it.

Perfect solution for devices that can't utilize VPN natively
I have been using ExpressVPN for many years now and it has never let me down. It does a great job on my computer and mobile devices. I mainly use ExpressVPN for streaming services. Switching countries is easy, fast and reliable. I usually watch sports and other shows on my laptop (15" screen), desktop computer (27" monitor) and Samsung Tab S8 Ultra tablet (14.6" screen). While this is fine, I always wanted to stream on my 65" LG television, which would also make use of my soundbar + subwoofer. To my knowledge, there is no way to run ExpressVPN on a television nor console (PS5, Xbox Etc.). I have a NETGEAR Nighthawk 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6E Router (RAXE500) but I didn't find a way to install ExpressVPN on it and I wasn't too keen on wiping and reinstalling a different firmware to possibly get it working.I recently learnt of the Aircove router and decided to give it a try. Initial setup was a bit strange as it was not picking up the internet from my ISP modem. The SSID would display and my mobile would connect to it but "Without Internet". After trial and error (or pure coincidence) I was able to connect to the Aircove and actually have internet. I went through the setup instructions, updated the firmware and got it up and running. I plugged my PS5 via LAN cable to the Aircove and downloaded apps such as MAX (previously HBO), Amazon Prime (which include Paramount+), Peacock, just to name a few. I am happy to report that they all worked without any issue. I can now enjoy most of my streaming services via my PS5, on my 65" TV+ soundbar + subwoofer. Thus far all streams worked without any buffering. When starting a stream, the resolution may start at what looks like 240p but within two seconds or so, the picture becomes clear and the resolution increases. Live sports also stream well thus far. I imagine that you can use the applications on your smart TV after connecting the TV to the Aircove router but I have not tested this (I am not a fan of signing into my services on a television), I have more control via the console.I would recommend this for anyone looking to connect devices that are not capable of using the ExpressVPN application natively. It is also great for those persons that want to connect all of their devices to VPN at the same time.I will continue to use and monitor the performance and longevity of the router and update this review in the future.

The Aircove VPN Router Features Outstanding Performance!
“This Aircove router rocks!”The signal strength is excellent in my 1500 sq. ft. home and the security is outstanding. I often combine my VPN router signal with an app from a different VPN service, and access to my desired sites is excellent and the security is ever-present.Based on my daily experience over the past 4 months, I’d not be hesitant about purchasing it again, should the need arise. If you’re uncertain about whether the Aircove router is going to get you to where you want to go, put your doubts away right now, and don’t look back!
