I’ve never had a trackpad protector before but assumed installing one would be as easy, if not easier, than installing a screen cover onto a phone. It was not. No matter how hard I tried to massage the bubbles out, there is one stubborn bubble that remains. It doesn’t affect the usage of my trackpad, but it’s aesthetically unpleasant. I appreciate that they give you 2 just in case you REALLY mess it up the first time and need to try again. It feels very…different and may take some getting used to as it feels very different than the trackpad itself, not as smooth, but not super rough or anything, just different.

Are you good at putting screen protectors on your phones or tablets? Then you might be good at putting this protector on your trackpad! And if you are, it's a very high-quality, nice-looking option.I am not, but I finally got it on after three tries, and I'm glad that I stuck with it. It looks great, it fits very well (maybe a little too well, see below). I will say, however, that I really wish there was a Space Gray option rather than just clear. I feel like that would make the installation a bit less fraught. Sure, you'd still have to deal with bubbles, but those kinds of protectors are a bit more forgiving.The stuff that comes with it to help you install it properly is fantastic. You have everything you need - a wet cleaning pad, a dry cleaning pad, a piece of cardboard to smooth it down as you install it and to get rid of any lingering bubbles that aren't the result of lint, and a few sticky lint removal pads. A+ there.Regarding the fit, it is *exactly* the size of the trackpad, so you have to get it lined up absolutely perfectly. If you don't, it will hang over one or more edges. You will likely have to reposition it a few times at the start, and that's prime opportunity for lint to get in there. Just keep an eye on it as you do it and address bubbles/trapped lint right away.I do recommend this item. You just have to be patient and careful.

Installation of this trackpad protector was more tricky than the other ones I've tried in the past. I had problems with small air bubbles forming. They do eventually go away but it's only really because I had to take it off and reposition the protector a second time. I do like how smooth it is to touch. The matte finish is definitely a plus. I like how it comes with two protectors. I honestly think it's provided just in case you mess up. The two-pack also makes this product a great value. BTW, this fits my 2023 MacBook Pro 16" perfectly!

Very glad this comes in a pack of two, failed the first installation due to dust and lint, but the second installation went smoothly. Very impressed with the installation and how the protector feels. Get this if you want some extra piece of mind when using your MBP16.

Fits very well with all that’s needed to apply it

The webpage they provide for instructions got me set up quickly. It was very similar to installing a screen protector to a phone, but easier to line up and keep straight while applying to my Macbook. The few small air bubbles I had were easily massaged out with the included card.The texture is definitely different to the bare trackpad and felt strange at first, but I quickly got used to it. It's not an impediment at all, and in fact I like that it's slightly more grippy than the trackpad. All gestures I use regularly are working fine.

I don't often leave reviews, but I feel like this seller deserves a huge shout-out for their 5-star service.The Product:I purchased this for someone else, but I do have the exact same one on my 2019 MBP. It's the second one I've had (the first was removed by Apple Support during a warranty repair), and I would never own another Macbook without installing these protectors. Once installed, you literally can't even tell they're there (I also have a touch bar protector, keyboard protector, and two rugged laptop cases of the same brand.).I've had the current one on my MBP for four years now. They don't fade or yellow (although I find the keyboard protectors do after a while), they don't peel, and they don't have any perceptible effect on the sensitivity of the touchpad.Considering the financial investment these new Macbooks are, it's worth the extra few dollars to make sure they're protected, and I haven't come across another brand that I've loved as much as these.I 100% Recommend this product!!!The Service:I purchased this along with some other accessories and a Macbook Pro as a gift for a family member who lives far away from me, and I had planned on shipping everything together. I didn't realize when I ordered that the delivery date for this item would be much later than the rest. Once I received the Mac and the other accessories and was ready to ship everything, I realized this protector was missing.I checked the order status and it said it wouldn't be delivered for another 9 days. Too late to ship out the gift package on time. I didn't want to have to ship another package at a later date, so I reached out to the seller, explained my situation and requested a return.I received a reply stating that the request had been approved and a prepaid return shipping label was sent within a couple of hours of me making the request. I also received a message from the seller letting me know that they had reached out to the shipping carrier and that the package would be delivered before the anticipated delivery date, in case that might work for me. They also stated in their message that if I still wish to return the protector, I can slep the prepaid label on it and send it back when I receive it, no problem at all.Unfortunately, I need to ship the package today and the protector won't be here until next week, so I'll be proceeding with the return once I receive the product, but I didn't expect a prepaid shipping label and for the seller to go out of their way to call their shipper and try to expedite things for me. Blown away by the exceptional customer service. I would definitely not hesitate to buy from this seller again!

I love the fact that you don’t notice there’s a skin on your MacBook trackpad, yet it’s there. It’s stealth and smooth, and does not affect the sensitivity of the trackpad at all. Really great product.

protector is not smooth at all and it makes very leggy feels like plasticy sound that is very annoying
