you've probably noticed thin paintbrush like red strands coming from your fishes bum
If you're looking at this, you've probably noticed thin paintbrush like red strands coming from your fishes bum. If you've then read on the internet and discovered that it is Cammalanus worms,, you may well be freaking out. There are lots of threads saying that they are hard to treat and a nightmare. Well, this stuff works, so don't panic.I had a couple of Bolivian Ram from my LFS that had Cammalanus worms and bought this to treat them (of course this only became apparent after they'd been added to my display tank - grrrr). The dosage was 1ml for every 40l - so 3ml for my 125l tank. The instructions are in German, but that's the basic dosage. As with any meds, remove any carbon filters. After 2 days do a big water change and add carbon filters back in.It worked well, though took a day or so before the worms were no longer visible. All signs of worms were gone after 2 days.My Gourami were the only fish that appeared affected by the meds, they were listless and swimming near the bottom during dosage. They recovered fully after a water change. It does mention affecting pleco, but mine was seemingly ok other than turning a bit dark. It is deadly to snails though, so if you have any find another tank for them. If you have burrowing snails or you've added alrwady before removing them, they will die and start to rot so watch your levels and try and remove the snaily corpses.I'm currently 2 weeks post meds and have been keeping on top of vacuuming and water changes. The ram are fine, and have started to poo normally again, which gives me hope that the damage to their internals wasn't significant. I'll redose next week and hope that's the end of it.

Works PERFECTLY
Bought this for deworming my guppies when I noticed some camallanus worms (little red worms hanging out the bottom of them) - Followed the instructions and within a day the dead worms were passing out and within 3 days no more signs of worms at all. Will do a second dose in a couple weeks to kill any eggs that survived but this product has been a literal life saver after losing 3-4 guppies before finding this product!

I did start the treatment before bed so they did have 7hours complete darkness) day 3 i did a 80% water change as instructed wit
So we got the dreaded calamanus worms :( after plenty of research on the internet I started my trying panacur with out any results after a bit more research I found sera nematol was a bit dubious with the cost but I didn't want to lose my fish so I got some.Following the instructions given in other reviews as yes as other have said the instructions are in German 1ml per 40ltrs I have a 180 juwel tank so put 4.5 ml in after shutting off there light. They had 3 full days with no light on in the tank ( I no it says complete darkness in some reviews but I could only turn there light off. I did start the treatment before bed so they did have 7hours complete darkness) day 3 i did a 80% water change as instructed with a good gravel clean. Was amazed to see none of my guppies or mollies had worms yayyy. My cherry barbs did seem to suffer a bit but with in 24 hours of the water change they were back to normal will be doing a 2nd dose and of the month and fingers crossed we'll be rid of the little nighters completely

At last something worked!
Tried 3 different treatments for canalanus worms and these didn't even touch them! The worms had wiped out half my stock after I bought a new 350 litre tank. Saw this recommended on a forum and it has been the only thing that worked so it has to have 5 stars! If this hadn't have worked id had probably have given up! Buy it, follow the strict instructions on water changes, block out the light to the tank when the substance is in its 2 day active stage and thrn treat again (so as you get the cycle). In between treatments double the feeds to the fish as this cleans out their digestive system and gives them more of a chance to replace some of their most nutrition. This also forces any eggs or knocked out worms out of the fish. Then do a gravel clean when you do the first water change following the first dose to get the eggs out of the gravel. Then as mentioned, wait 3 weeks then do the same again. Best of luck!

Great for camallanus
So it turned out i had the camallanus (not sure on spelling) parasite in the tank. Looking on google and it appears everyone was going for pigeon or other animal dewormer. Then 1 person recommended this. So i took a chance and bought the 10ml bottle. Put 4.5ml into my 180l tank and left for 2 days with the light off. On the 2nd day i topped up by 0.5ml and on the 3rd day did an 80% water change and used an aquarium vac to clean up any debris and washed the ornaments. Now no more worm....will keep at 5 stars for now but will comment further when i carry out the same at the 3rd week point. Will recommend at this time for getting rid of this pest.

I was looking to buy Levamisole HCL in a bird ...
I was looking to buy Levamisole HCL in a bird wormer to deal with a suspected infection of Camallanus worms, until somebody on a forum mentioned this, so took a punt.Treated 90L tank following instructions, infected fish showed improvements, but worms still present.80% water change carried out after 3 days, but going to treat again after 1 week has passed since first treatment.Instructions in the box only in German - Mine was shipped from Germany, so no English instructions was understandable as company is German...International instructions from manufacturer [...]

Wasn't effective for me...
I purchased this to eradicate camallanus worms from my aquarium, followed the instructions to the letter (removed carbon/turned off uv/measured the exact dose).Done a water change on the Sunday then dosed with this, completely covered my aquarium with bin bags so it was in complete darkness and fed twice a day as usual. 3 days passed and I took off the bin bags to find no change to my fish.Extremely disappointed with this product, giving the price and previous reviews I'm surprised how ineffective it was.Hope you have better luck.
