This flower frog has substantial weight to it and holds the most delicate of stems upright. I especially like to use them for sweet pea flowers and Lenten roses. Your favorite gardener would love this as a gift!

This flower frog is nice and heavy, so it will stay in place when you are arranging your floral display. The tines sticking up are sharp and will hold stems in place. The rubber-like material surrounding the base helps to hold the frog in place while ensuring the heavy stainless steel frog does not scratch or otherwise damage any glass, ceramic or other delicate vase.The size is exactly as shown on Amazon at 3.2 inches. I had posted another review of this product, but merely stated it had not been received and Amazon made good immediately by shipping this one. This is a bit larger than many frogs, so you can use it for larger round vases.

Pretty heavy so it will hold most flowers you stuff on it.

My grandmother was a florist, so I’m a big fan of flower arrangements. I’ve only ever seen bouquets and flower foam arrangements- and while they’re beautiful, I was looking for something a little unique. That’s when I came across a flower frog/ kenzan. It has honestly changed my life. I was very picky in choosing a kenzan. I wanted something heavy so I chose metal over plastic with tack. I also didn’t want the arrangement to move around so I like that this Kenzan had rubber around it. It works perfectly. I’m only taking a star off because it’s a little tricky to get in between the spikes to clean. I store mine in bubble wrap as it is very pointy.

I am fairly new to Ikebana and using floral frogs or kenzens like this but, this one works CRAZY well. I bought one like two weeks ago for like $9 and it was pretty small. It worked but struggled to hold my larger branches in the way and angles I wanted it to. This one is almost double the size and is SO EASY to work with. The pins are nice and large and sharp. They easily hold both small and large branches and stems. It’s heavy duty and sturdy. Once in place it doesn’t move at all because of the nice rubber grip around the bottom. Which is removable for cleaning in between use to ensure longevity as well. Once all my stems and florals were placed it was pretty easy to hide with some small leaves and extra flowers. The difference in a larger kenzen and a smaller one is significant! It’s like night and day. If you’re debating between this one and a smaller one (or you’re fairly new like my self) I highly recommend going for this particular one! It works flawlessly!!
