Used this antenna to upgrade my 2017 BMW m240i to have wireless CarPlay (along with an aftermarket software upgrade). Installation was relatively easy and it works perfectly.

If you are adding CarPlay to an older BMW or many, this is the best priced, quickly delivered option. It was easy to install, I just removed the head unit and plugged this in the correct port on the back of the unit. It only fits one way. I then routed the wire down to the front of the console and stuck it to the inside of the console with the included double stick tape. It performs well and must get excellent reception as my phone connects immediately open power up. I have the unit hidden in my application but it looks like and if you were forced to stick it out in the open it has an OEM appearance that would not create an eyesore. I recommend this to anyone wanting to add CarPlay or Android Auto to an older BMW or Mini.

Installed on my motorcycle as I didn't want the old huge antenna on it. I rarely use the radio these days, so I wanted to hide the antenna.

The antenna adheres well to any flat surface. The sticky side is black so it doesn't stand out if mounted on a window. The wire is very thin and flexible, so it's easy to hide if you have too much. It was absolutely plug and play and actually outperformed an exterior stick antenna. (I'm baffled as to how that could be, but it is). The key is to try it in several places before mounting it.
