This old school Lamp Bulb Guard came as advertised and is exactly what I needed in my rustic foyer.

Used the guard for a trouble light, to allow extended run time without the 'back' of the trouble light getting hot. Easy bulb change from the fan-out design at the end (vid). Diameter was a match for the trouble light cage which I needed (photo compares size of trouble light to this product). The bulb size in the photo is R20, slightly larger than a standard A19 bulb. Would be 5 stars other than the neck band.... it is larger than a standard trouble light neck (and probably larger than a standard hanging light fixture neck also) and would not stay on the trouble light neck even when tightened all the way- modified the neck band to make a smaller neck diameter, then it worked perfectly. Mod was unhooking one of the wire ends at the neck band, tucking it under an adjacent one, and drilling a new hole in the neckband for the fastener so it would draw up tighter like an extra hole in a belt. I would use this item again

I don't recommend this product. It came bent but decided to keep it The metal is really cheaply made much lighter metal gauge than a cheap coat hanger

It’s a good item.

This came totally smashed in an unpadded heavy paper envelope. The metal is so thin for what this cost. I purchased a heavy duty bulb enclosure a few years ago for less money and it has held up wonderfully. This item is definitely not worth the money. I do not recommend this product.

Item worked perfectly for what I needed and arrived sooner than expected

Bought to save bulbs from kids playing basketball and throwing stuff in our basement. Not sure this will work as its intended for animals, so probably my fault.
