A Book For Every Bookshelf
Josephine Spire’s book is the sort of necessary work you want to keep in your bookshelf to share with friends and family or even to whip out and re-read one chapter or the other in a specific situation as a reference. Such as when stress gets to you and makes you lose sleep. And she covers a great deal of other daily life symptoms of stress and unhealthy living such as smoking, how to lose weight and so – all with your own determination, no chemical drugs. What could be better than using your own mind and self-will to overcome life’s obstacles?Ms Spire shows you in well written simple language about how self-hypnosis, for example, Golden Shana: The ChaseGolden Shana: The Capture: Volume 2 “is empowering and it helps you develop a self-help plan that keeps you in charge and in control of your life.” Then she goes on to explain these skills and how you can learn to apply them in various aspects of your life. As human beings we all know that great feeling you experience when you manage to accomplish something or achieve your goals all on your own. As I said: a wonderful book for anyone’s bookshelf. A professional sharing her knowledge...
The author obviously knows what she is talking about. The way the book is set out is very clear and takes the reader step by step through the therapeutic process. Many problems are covered and therefore fit a wide range of readers. I read many books on this subject but this inspired me far more than any I can remember. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in hypnotherapy, potential clients and working therapists in the field. A joy to read.Antony Watkins

This is a self-development book for self-growth
This is a self-development book which will be useful not only for people who would like to get rid of bad habits and addictions, but for anyone who is seeking either self-growth or self-motivation for a new challenge or improvement. What I like the most in this book is the intention to help people clean their minds and improve their quality of living. The book contains some important principles of Eastern philosophy – “The thoughts that pass through our minds are responsible for everything that happens in our lives because as human beings we act on our thoughts.”The self-hypnosis technique in the book begins with closing your eyes and concentrating on breathing – the same as in any meditation technique, but Josephine Spire empowers it by the verbalization, i.e. scripts, written specifically for a certain problem. All scripts are very powerful, and some of them contain highly spiritual principles such as forgiveness. However, there is space for improvement as well:1. It would be useful for readers to have the statistical data about people’s recovery from addictions by hypnosis and/or self-hypnosis.2. Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t find practical advice about how to read the “self-hypnosis” text. Definitely, you can’t read it if your eyes are closed and you are concentrating on breathing. It might be useful to provide a link to the professionally read script online or to give a useful piece of advice regarding this. For example, download the voice recorder to your smartphone (if you don’t have one already); choose a peaceful moment for recording (maybe a certain day of the week or time of day); read it for the first time without recording, just listening to your own voice, etc.

Absolutely brilliant!
"Self-hypnosis and positive affirmations" is a must-read for everyone who has never fully understood the therapeutic power of Hypnosis. No other book has ever made it clearer to me.

Very insightful and inspiring, a great read.
This book was incredibly written and outlined, it explains everything about hypnosis and how it works packed with scripts ie weight loss, quit smoking, stress management and many more. It also has chapters for fears and phobias and positive affirmations to top everything up nicely. Being knew to hypnosis I found this book eye opening, insightful and inspiring.

Essential Guide To Self-Therapy
Writers suffer from mild melancholy and insomnia, at least I do. I am a big fan of positive thinking and certainly on those days of blocks when nothing seems to go right with the writing, I go for a walk in the park, think good thoughts and come back and try again. What Josephine Spire does in Self-Hypnosis and Positive Affirmations is add a valuable new layer to thinking positive to actual curing, or at least ameliorating, the subconscious mind without the intrusion of chemicals. We live in stressful times at work, in a our social lives, in the news reports that bring us pictures of famine and tragedy across the globe. These effect the mind, whether we realise it not. With her practical, easy-to-follow guide to self- hypnosis, Ms Spire reveals how we have the power within us to ease stress, cure phobias and, most important to me, combat insomnia. Intelligent, well but simply written, this is a valuable contribution to the art of self-therapy.
