I recently decided to go with a warmer more Scandinavian design theme in my living space, while still keeping a somewhat more minimal modern aesthetic at the same time. My prior a/v stand was a black glass and metal open frame design that was popular in the early to mid 2000's. However it was a dust magnet and the black tinted glass required frequent dusting as well as the exposed audio/video equipment. When I decided to replace that furniture I knew I wanted a mid-century or Scandi modern design that had cabinet doors where my equipment could be hidden inside. I looked at all price ranges from the low hundreds to the thousands, from companies like BDI, etc. I decided to look at what Amazon had to offer and when I came upon the Stead Contemporary Fluted TV Stand, I literally said that's the one. However, I couldn't find many reviews on it and the ones I did however were all very good. I understood by the price, it was not going to be solid wood, but based on the reviews and it had the very high end look of stands costing more than twice as much I decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed.Assembly was pretty straight forward, and took roughly an hour to complete. Its mainly your standard cam locks, wooden dowels assembly. I did line the entire top edges with glue before actually attaching the top board of the cabinet. The doors installed easily and the hinges are top rate with plenty of adjustability to get both doors lined up and even.Fit and finish is excellent. The cabinet is solid particle board with a matte laminate mine being white, and the texture is similar to eggshell. The stand does include vinyl circle stickers to cover the cam lock holes on the insides of the cabinet. The doors are very solid feeling and made of what I assume is mfr'd wood with a woodgrain laminate, that quite frankly unless you inspect literally from inches away, you cannot tell the doors aren't solid natural wood. Again it the fit and finish is well above the price. And in fact, I did find this same stand on another popular online furniture site, for a couple hundred dollars more than what Amazon sells it for.My only negative on the stand, which is minor, is that the cabinets are not as deep once the doors are attached and I measured my receiver and a/v equipment prior to purchasing, however the shelves were not deep enough to allow the doors to close without being stopped by the front of my receiver. Granted my A/V receiver is of the larger variety and once you add hdmi connections, etc, to the back, it does require several more inches of shelf space. This was not an issue on the previous stand due to its open frame design. All of my other equipment did fit fine inside of the cabinets however. The middle open shelves are perfect for adding whatever decoration you choose as well as the top of the stand, and cable management holes to run wires in/out through the back. Another nice touch is that the back is actually laminated as well which is a sign of more expensive furniture, and not the beige colored particle board or fiberboard backing found on cheaper or budget furniture. To sum up, I recommend this stand without reservation if you want a simple and minimalistic yet high end looking, modern Scandi style furniture console cabinet for your tv and entertainment storage.

The shelves didn’t seem to want to fit on properly even after making sure everything was secured and on correctly, but it was an easy fix! Other than that I love it.

It was hard for my husband to assemble. It’s also very short, much shorter than I expected especially for the price. I didn’t feel it was worth it.

Really nice TV stand, it’s heavy, durable and looks just like the photos. It took us a few hours to assemble due to the instructions not being super clear on some steps (and probably the wines fault too lol). I don’t think I would have been able to assemble it alone due to its size and weight. I had a couple issues with the doors not lining up and I reached out to the seller and was able to fix them. The seller was super responsive and helpful and I also ordered the matching chests that go along with this. Although the assembly wasn’t as easy as anticipated, it’s a great timeless piece and the seller provided great customer service! PS This same piece is being sold on Wayfair for $200 more so buy it from here!!

I loved the way it looks in my bedroom. However the doors were a little difficult to install, one of them doesn’t close all the way.

This product surprised me in every way! I didn’t expect it to be so sturdy and solid, I was expecting an IKEA like thin thing that would break as soon as a dog bumped it or a child ran into it, but it is super solid! It was easy to assemble and I was able to do it myself in under an hour, it looks amazing and they have some really great features like these matte black stickers that go over the hardware holes so you don’t see the silver. You can tell they thought about the customer experience and went the extra mile to make a great product, and wow did they deliver! 10/10 would recommend!
