It arrived very quickly - in a box vs a vacuum sealed bag - from Michigan. Thus, did not need to be “reconstituted” back into shape. He stole my heart at first site. So cute, soft, and cuddly. And zero odor :). Everything in product description is correct.This is my first weighted stuffie. Heard they can be helpful re anxiety. It works! He’s 5 lbs, stays where I put him - including my chest all night. Yes - the weight in 4 legs simulates a hug. I wouldn’t want anything smaller, and if he was 6-8 inches longer, would be even better for us adults.I did EXTENSIVE research and shopping, mulling, deciding… Chose this one as liked the option to heat (or cool) the removal pack. Also with that opening, I can add more weight (for ex, lentils) if desire more than his 5 lbs. So far I’ve tucked in a sachet bag of fresh lavender, which provides a subtle relaxing scent.Love my new buddy, Patches. Thank you, Pacific Comforts! I definitely recommend.

I originally bought this for my grandchild but thought I would try it out first. I absolutely love it. At night if I let my head fall all the way to one side I wake up with a stiff neck and shoulders and one side of nose/head completely stuffed. I always sleep with a blanket tucked by the side of my head so my head is tilted a bit but it slides away during the night. This weighted animal is perfect for many reasons. First, it is so soft and plush. Second, because of the weight it stays in one place where I put it. Third, if I want I can heat/cool it for additional comfort on my muscles. Fourth, because the shape is not like a pillow I can adjust it easily. And fifth, the ear is so long I can put it over my eyes to shade any light. Call me high maintenance but this thing is brilliant!! The quality is great and I can easily remove the heating/cooling bag from the inside.

I bought this in the hopes it would comfort my 8 year old during storms. She loved it at first sight, so soft and cuddly. We took it camping and had a opportunity to test it nearly every night- at one point she was curled up next to it and our dog was on the other side and neither were in my bed. I would say it’s a win. Also noticed it doubled as a iPad back rest, or book holder when your arms are tired.

After the first two days, my 13 year old daughter came to me (with "Sandy") and said, "I have an emotional attachment." LOL This weighted puppy is a perfect stuffed animal for a child (or adult!). Either heat or cool him for an extra measure of comfort. He's soft and has just the right amount of weight. We have four daughters and only one "Sandy." This is a problem ... haha.Highly recommend this seller and product!

Very cute and soft dog. Good size. The rice bag will not warm up much, no matter how long I put in microwave. Therefore, 3 stars for not providing the warmth it advertised.

So soft and lovable! Would give 5 stars but don’t have grandsons opinion until Christmas morning! Hope he likes it as much as I do!

UPDATE: When I hadnt heard through Amazon, I googled Pacific Comforts website and put the information there. I almost immediately got a very nice, apologetic reply with an offer to send a replacement pack of beads to the address I provided. The only thing they asked me for was more information/pictures to track down where the manufacturing process went wrong. Now-a-days good customer service has become a rarity, so I always try to support a company that admits they had a problem and works to make it right!******************************This immediately started leaking beads, which were just dumped loose in the body. Very unsafe for 3 year old it was bought for! We removed the loose beads, but of course now it doesnt have the weight and cant be heated - the reasons I bought it. I would like a replacement pack of beads (as described on the site) rather than the hassle of shipping it back (he loves the dog). Thank you, I will update the rating if you can fix this. We've had this less than a week. I got it for my dog to snuggle with since we lost his older brother in June. All he's done with it is snuggle at night and during naps. He knows it's not a toy to play withWithin the first 24 hours, strings(?) Started sticking out in certain areas. I had to fix a hole in the nose where the stitching came apart. And the "hairs" are shedding off. The only good things I can say is the weight is nice. Has kept it from falling off the couch during my boys naps. And it has genuinely brought him comfort.
