I’m blown away at the performance of the Garmin Approach. After reading dozens of reviews and watching videos the hope was that this would give adequate performance. Set up with a net in the garage and immediately got great readings using this unit. Many reviews suggested RCT balls or aluminum dotted balls would be needed but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Have been paired to IPad or IPhone using Garmin app with airplay to TV. Home Tee Hero works well to give a sense of purpose when swinging at home. Now that its warm we’ve tested on the range - ball flight and distance is amazingly accurate. Our goal was to get practice in during winter months. - not to build a high cost home SIM and this does the job perfectly

Great simulator for the money. RCT balls are a must for accuracy. It’s within 3-4 yards of simulators that are 3-4x the cost.

I believe the unit received is faulty, as I've seen a similar problem posted. The club head speed of 7i is only 50mph. I'm a male in my early 40s, and there is no way I can hit 7i with only 50mph. It should be at least 80mph. This results in my 7i can not go pass 100 yards. In comparison, I can hit 9i/p easily pass 100 yards in driving range. And the refund process is super slow. I cannot return it in wholefood; instead, I have to drop it at a UPS. The item was received by the return facility on 7/17 per UPS system, and I've still not received my refund yet (today is 7/25). The system shows I can will get a refund by 8/2 (which is more than 2 weeks after the item is received by the facility). I will not buy used items from Amazon again. The experience is totally different from regular Amazon system

First ordered a flightscope mevo to have a simple golf sim for the house, brother had previously bought a Garmin Approach 10 and loved it. After using the flightscope mevo I was not impressed with it and returned it and ordered the Garmin Approach 10. For the price this piece of equipment is hard to beat, between me, my brother and a buddy of ours we all own one. The actual Garmin App isn’t that great but there’s other apps such as Awesome Golf that work great with it and it’s helped me a lot to be able to practice more.Easy to setup and connect and battery last a long time.

While small enough you can take this launch monitor with you to the range, to help you literally see how's your swing and fix it, it is powerful enough to use it at home and be the "brain" of a home golf simulator!It's VERY accurate (although Garmin app is not the best). It is E6 connect compatible, Awesome Golf, Home Tee Hero among others. Garmin's app (9.99/month or 100/yr) brings 42,000 courses, with driving range included. My favorites are E6 and Awesome Golf so far! Also bring some cool games to make a great fun or competitive gathering with friends and/or family.I use it with an outdoor net so far, and My swing has been better at the course, because I practice more often, not having to drive to practice. Also, is more entertaining to just walk to the backyard and make a few swings.It will pay itself with the money, gas and time I save practicing at home.I'm still in the process of building an outside simulator as I prefer to practice outdoors rather than in a garage. But is a pretty good alternative and most of the people, build the inside ones.Now I'm just doing research, looking for the projector and the hitting screen.I love its accuracy, just remember to have it updated, calibrated, and set to the distances recommend by Garmin! The device works very well with the Awesome Golf app. The Garmin app is weak and not very accurate, was cheating me 30 yards distance. Awesome Golf seems very accurate, tested against a Track man and was not much variation in the metrics. Great item for under $700! I got a refurbished model and saved $130, couldn't tell it wasn't brand new.

Very happy with the product’s performance and definitely believe it will help with improving my swing in the offseason.
