Well, thankfully I have not fully tested these out (by dunking them in water or falling in the toilet) but when it rained, they were fine and when I got sweaty (working out and doing cardio type stuff) they still worked. I believe (in my opinion) that they are like all electronics that say they are "waterproof" they are water resistant and small amounts of liquid they will survive but fully submerged, I would question. But then again I don't think I will go swimming and listening to my pod casts or music under the water, but they might work lovely at the edge of a pool and I get cannon balled by my kid, saying "MOM LOOK!" and then splash.
