Low noise
I live in an old end terrace house and I bought 2 of these dehumidifiers one for upstairs back bedroom and one for downstairs front room, they are working well and removing a full tank (400 mls ) of water in about three and a half days, the red light comes on and they switch off to indicate they are full and need emptying. They are easy to empty ( just need to make sure the little float goes back in the right place) They operate very quietly just a sort of background hum, which isn’t distracting or annoying and I actually find it quite reassuring that it is working. My smart meter display has stopped working so I can’t say how much electricity they are using but the information leaflet suggests 1p per hour, even if the leaflet is outdated and they are using double they are still good value for the job they are doing. Hopefully this review is helpful.

Good for a small dehumidifier
This is nice and small and I like that it is black rather than white plastic, it looks less cheap. I bought three, one for each bedroom. We in an old house and every winter certain areas of walls in each bedroom get a bit of mildew. I have a big dehumidifier that I end up rotating round the rooms so I thought these would be good on each room and to run them an hour a day. In an unused room I have a timer plug and set it to run an hour a day. They are collecting some water, not masses but they are only on for a short time and it is only a small unit, but hopefully this will keep on top of the problem for winter. They are not too noisy and you could easily sleep through the low hum that it makes. Removing and replacing the water container is easy . I am happy with my purchase.

Does the trick
Good for the price. It does the work and keeps humidity away from my bedroom windows. It does take time though. Apart from that it does make a huge difference and keeps the mold away.

Quiet and economical but only useful for VERY small rooms.
We purchased this now in the warm weather to test it before we really need to use a dehumidifier when the cold weather comes. We trialled it in our North facing 2.2m x 2.4m bathroom firstly during a normal day i.e. wash in the morning and toilet use, then the next day after a very shallow bath and toilet use. It is not possible to have an extractor fan so we need something to dehumidify whilst still keeping the room warm in the winter. Both days the temperature was 22 degrees C in the bathroom with the window and door closed - both are normally closed in the winter but not in the summer. The temperature in the bathroom in the winter is normally about 19 degrees C in winter. The first day, the humidity was 83% at 8am and it took 8.5hrs to reduce to 57% when we switched it off and opened the door and window. Total water in the tank was 25ml.The next day, we had a shallow bath and humidity went up from 58% to 99%, window and door closed again. After 2 hrs, there was very little water in the tank so we removed the condensation from the window with a window vacuum. It took 13 hrs to reduce humidity to 62% when we switched it off and opened the door and window; the water in the tank was 100ml .The lid of the tank actually does remove to empty and dry it although does not state this in the instructions, which also do not state the size of 'small rooms'.The unit is also low Voltage so runs off its supplied transformer with a 3 pin plug but we don't have 3pin sockets in our bathroom so had to run it off an extension lead on the landing. We do not feel this product will be powerful enough to dehumidify our bathroom satisfactorily or quickly enough before the damp does the damage in the winter when our heating is on and it is too cold to leave the window open. Although this machine is very quiet and economical, we need to spend a lot more on a more powerful machine (or 2) to dehumidify the bathroom, kitchen and other rooms efficiently. We do have electric heating in our apartment which has no cavity wall insulation and a flat roof so, other than spending a fortune on electricity to heat the walls which will then radiate to the outside, we are considering purchasing larger and more powerful dehumidifiers to combat the winter damp.

Fab little piece of kit.
Perfect for a smaller room - sucks the damp out of the air and only makes an imperceptible humm. I am emptying the 1/2 litre container once a week and like that it shuts off automatically when container is full.

Absolutely useless
This unit gets slightly warm to touch but that's pretty much all it does. I got it to dry out my under sink cupboard following a leak, It's so damp under there you can see, smell and feet it. I've had this dehumidifier running for days under there and it's managed to collect about 1ml of water. The manual states optimum operating conditions are 30 degrees C, 80% humidity and ventilated which conditions you're never going to see in England. I used a fan heater to raise the temperature and keep the air moving but the unit collected no water whatsoever. I'll probably be returning this useless piece of equipment.
