Works Perfectly
I ordered these focus gear rings because they add hard stops. Anyone that has tried to calibrate a "focus by wire" lens knows the difficulty of the process. By adding hard stops it makes the process much easier. The hard stops clip on very easy and stay in place. I also found that these hard stops will fit the Tilta follow focus gear rings as well it is a good thing because Smallrig does not have as many ring sizes as Tilta does.

Works very well
The rings with multiple sizes fit extremely well… you also have the option to cut it slimmer for my lens with a narrow focus wheel. My only issue is the hard stops hence 4 stars. The hard stops supplied (more than enough was supplied) only caters to the wide rings, however once cut to fit a narrow ring size, there’s no narrow hard stops. I think half wide and half narrow hard stops would allow for better options and usability. Overall great product that I would recommend just not for narrow rings on lens unless Smallrig updates the product to include narrow hard stops.

works well, holds tight to lens
haven't yet used these with a follow focus on a shoot, but seems to work well. the rings stay on tight it seems, and i imagine it will be fine. i did a simple test with my follow focus gear (a cheap one from neewer from years ago), and it seemed to mesh well with the sprockets.

Takes the guess work out of zooming
It’s a “follow focus” unit. Sure. But who says it can’t be used for zooming in and out? I let my camera do the focusing but I wanted something to make zooming my lens in and out easier. I found it tedious twisting and contortioning (I know it’s not officially a word, but c’maan, you know what I mean) my wrist with twisting the barrel of my lens to zoom in and out. This was the solution. I already had the cage for my camera so this was a simple add on and I can now easily zoom in and out without an issue like its second nature.A word to the wise, make sure the rig clamps are toight loike a toigah (tight like a tiger, Austin Powers reference, Gold Member, get it?) so it doesn’t rotate on the pipe. If it rotates any little bit, the teeth on the cog will jump from the strap and that’s just not awesome. I’m docking one star for this, otherwise this is a solid must have for someone who uses their camera for video.
