Works just as it should
Snoots are common and often used as part of basic set ups. This works as it should without the higher cost of what we used to purchase.

Very light and 100% bowens mount compatible.
This snoot is very light (does not feel too sturdy though) and it fits not only my strobe heads but also my continuous lights, which are all Bowens mount compatible, perfectly. It comes with a honey com grid but I'm not really a fan of it as the grid fixation and the grid itself seem quite sloppy. If not handled carefully it will certainly break or bend and become useless. The snoot opening diameter is also VERY small, like 6 inches. Yes, the objective of a snoot is to narrow the beam of light, but this one goes a bit too extreme. If you're on a budget, it can get the job done with some restrictions. If you can invest a bit more, I'd go for a solution with better construction quality.

While Flimsy, It Works Well
If you take care of your stuff and store it carefully while hauling it around, you'll be fine. It's thin plastic but does fit on a Bowens mount with no issue, and works as it should. The gels are cheap and thin. They seem to work ok but will make my own for it.

Another Winner from Neewer
Over the years I've collected a fairly large collection of Neewer gear. When I first started buying Neewer products, they were far less expensive than "name brands" but did not match the quality of those brands. These days, I consider Neewer to be a name brand. The quality of their products has improved significantly, and they offer exceptional value. This snoot will fit any strobe that uses the industry-standard Bowen S mount. I own a continuous light and a couple of strobes that have this mount. Regardless of whether the snoot is mounted on the continuous light or the strobes, it produces a very concentrated circle of light. Properly placed, you can get a perfectly lit subject where the light will fade to black. The snoot comes with a set of color filters and a grid. The grid concentrates the beam of light even further, while the filters can be used to create color effects. The grid appears to be made of metal, but the filters are made of plastic. Because the filters are plastic, you need to be very careful if you use this snoot on a continuous light because if the temperature gets too high, they will melt. Even LED lights, if they are powerful and left on for a long time a full power, can produce enough heat to potentially melt the filters. This, of course, is true for all brands of plastic filters.Overall, I'm pleased with this snoot and the included accessories and it will get a lot of use in my photo studio.

NOT GOOD for spot light.
Do not buy this product if you want the “spotlight” effect. The circle spotlight does not work with this snoot when using strobe light. I’ve used snoots in the past with a strobe without a problem. This one will not produce that effects no matter the output of the light. It’s just one big flash of light. The Bowens mount fits fine and everything is as mentioned.

A good value for a useful light modifier
The media could not be loaded. There are two different kinds of snoots for modifying light in your pictures. They can have a lens (an optical snoot) or not, like this one. Both are used to focus the light, usually on the subject or the background.A lens in an optical snoot is used to refine the light so it can have sharp borders, which can be useful either for a distinct spotlight or using a gobo filter that shapes the light further, like simulating a window screen or any other shape/pattern.While this is a non-optical snoot, it is still *very useful* for spotlighting the subject or background. Since the light's border is not as distinct, it might be perceived as a little more natural than a focused optical snoot. This snoot isn't perfect, but I think it's a really good value if you have a light with a Bowens mount and want to shape the light.See my video and pictures for more!

Works with photo strobes and video lights
Although I'm a photographer, My primary use for this snoot is to isolate light for product video shoots. This snoot is perfect for that. It produces a controlled spotlight effect that can be colored using the provided gels. If you know anything about spotlights, then you know this snoot will produce a circle with a feathered edge around the circle. Even though it's a controlled beam of light. Unlike a spotlight with blades and gobos that can produce a much sharper edge. That's not a deal breaker, but understanding what you get with a snoot is key so you don't get upset. It produces amazing results for me. Highly recommended.
