This vacuum does work please read !
Read this if your Intex pool has turned green and you’re not sure what to do. I have an Intex above-ground pool that went green, and I quickly realized the standard Intex filter wasn’t going to cut it. So, the first thing I did was upgrade to a sand pump and filter. That helped, but not enough—the green was too far gone for the pump alone. At that point, I had two options: vacuum the green out or drain the pool. Draining felt pointless because the problem could just come back, so I decided to vacuum it out as cheaply as possible. I found a vacuum for $50. I figured there would be a bit of trial and error to get it working—and there was. If you want something plug-and-play, this might not be for you. The main issue I faced was that the return port on the pool seemed to be an odd size. I bought a 1.25” to 1.5” hose adapter, but it was about 2mm too big. Then I tried an Intex connector from a pool shop—it was slightly too small and too short to clamp properly. So I improvised. I cut down the original connector with snips, allowing it to compress slightly and fit better. I stuffed it into the intake port, and to my surprise—it worked. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure there’s a proper connector out there, but this DIY fix got the job done. Before vacuuming, make sure to leave your pool still overnight so all the algae settles to the bottom. When you’re ready, fully submerge your vacuum hose so it’s filled with water—this is crucial to avoid losing suction. Then, connect it to your DIY or proper adapter, attach the vacuum head, and fire up the pump. I vacuumed about 85% of the algae on the first go—just moved slowly and carefully. It took about 15 minutes. I repeated the process the next morning, and the pool is now clear. Total cost? • Vacuum: $50 • Connector: $13 • A bit of patience and effort: free And that’s it. It works—I promise! Be patient, and save yourself a bunch of money

The plastic is not very durable, so do not drop it
We purchased the suction hose in may and have used it frequently since we been dealing with a lot of algae. The item arrived quick and in perfect condition. Once you get the hang of how to use it, it works wonderfully to suck & waste to get debris out from the bottom of the pool. It does have bristles on either side but if you are looking for a "brush" this isn't it. Because of the shape, brushing/scrubbing for things that are "caked" on this does not work well. Nevertheless for the vacuum portion I do recommend it, it works very well. Downfall, the plastic is not very durable, we leaned it against the fence and it slid and hit a brick. Instantly cracked the plastic, could we still use it...I guess, but for safety reasons we won't. I'm worried more pieces will break of and besides someone stepping on a piece it could cut our liner, and that would not be a cheap replacement. So I guess, if you are very careful and maybe don't have kids using it definitely is the tool to get the job done.

It’s ok
Wish they had mentioned it needed another connection to work. So I had to buy additional part to attach the hose to the outlet in the pool. Other than that it works well.

A great product
It arrived quickly. The quality of the hose was good and perfect for my pool that we clean once or twice a week. No reason to spend two or three times as much for a professional vac that wears out every three years anyway. Actually, this new head design works better than the old one. I like the triangle design because it’s easier to get the corners. It is a little light but the suction keeps it on the bottom. I hope to get three years out of this and I’ll buy it again.

Hose won't connect to vacuum.
I don't know if there is a missing piece, or it is just wrong. Unfortunately I didn't need it at first and didn't open until I did. Very disappointed in the product. Hose is fine from what I can tell, just cannot connect anything to the vacuum heard itself.

Works great with our Intex above ground pool
Fitment was spot on. The flow rate is good. It's easy to use. The polymer used is durable and the brushes work well. We did have to buy a longer hose. The generic pool pole we bought from Amazon fit perfectly.
