Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: Stories of Life, Love and Learning

I read this in my teens (I'm now in my 30's). This book is good for the hard conversations and puts it into perspective for the age that is reading it. I believe 15 and up is a great age for this book.

It is a very nice groupof stories for young people, I enjoyed reading it. It is going to be donated to a foster teenager.

Great for teenage granddoll

This book still has the same great stories I read as a teen. I purchased this for my soon to be 13 yr old, and while some of the stories go over his head, he does enjoy reading it. I think it helps him to practice reading as well since it’s a bunch of short stories.

I read this dozens of times when I was a teenager in the early 2000s. It’s such a good book for young people who feel lost, insecure or otherwise freaked out about puberty and all that comes with growing up. It provides readers with some reassurance that there are difficult things in life, but also beautiful things as well. I just sent a copy to my 13 year old niece. I really hope she puts her phone down long enough to get hooked on this series. I highly recommend. Just do it.

You must read this if you care about your family

Loved it

I read this book when I was a teenager about 15/16 years old. At the time it was a godsend to feel that there were others like me going through the same thing. The book is a collection of short stories written by teenagers and adults both professional and non. It is also organised into various chapters such as the "tough stuff" "love" "family" etc. Now as a nearly 40 year old I dip back into it so I can reconnect with my younger self and to remind myself what my nieces and nephews, and soon my toddler, are going through. As an added bonus because there are so many different writers there is usually something for everyone in terms of writing style.
