I use these for my aquariums. They are just the right size for holding fish, or bags, or any number of uses while maintaining fish tanks. I love that they are plastic so they aren’t too heavy when full of water, and the handle is comfortable for pouring. A+

I like that this is thick like glass even though it is plastic and I like that it is useable in the microwave and has the cool-to-the-touch handle. One of the uses I have for it is to microwave milk and then use a beater to make foamy milk for use in coffee - it works perfectly for that. It is not infinitely sturdy however. I accidentally knocked it out of a cabinet onto the counter and floor below and did manage to crack it. However, since I like the product and felt that this damage was my fault, I simply ordered a replacement. So far so good with the second one! Now, if they could only get the 2.5 cup version in stock, I think I'd order that as well (but that seems out of stock everywhere!).

I searched all over for a measuring cup that would make feeding my dog the right amount of food fool-proof for the kids! I have a large (110 lbs) dog, and we had been guesstimating his food with another cup as I didn't want to leave a baking measuring cup in with the dog food. This cup is great! For just a few bucks I don't have to worry about my 10 year old giving the dog a full extra cup of food per meal, as I have *caught* him doing before...the dog let me take it back, but it's not fun to look at those big sad eyes when you take away his food. lol All in all, this cup would certainly have the measurements rubbed away if placed in a dishwasher. It is lightweight plastic, not thick heavy plastic. The 2.5 cup measurement is only about 1/8" away from the top of the cup, so it isn't a 3cup with a 2.5cup measurement like some others that I have seen. For my purposes this cup is absolutely perfect, but if you are trying to cook with it and like using the dishwasher, I'd scratch the measurements into the cup first!

I recently switched to using powdered non-fat milk (SANALAC Non fat dry milk, ordered off of Amazon, which turned out to be great tasting, and not expensive) as I was finding the milk I was buying was going bad before I could use it up, which was turning into a waste of money. In order to make non-fat milk easily in larger batches, I wanted a measuring cup that held a larger volume of water. This one caught my eye, as it looked sturdy, and was a good price. It is indeed a very sturdy measuring cup. The markings are clear, and easy to read. They also appear as if they won't rub off within a few months. I’ve owned quite a few plastic measuring cups that have had this problem, and the pigment or paint on this cup doesn't remind me of the ink or whatever it was, that was on the disappearing-mark cups. Time will tell. I don't use the dishwasher that came with my apartment for anything other than storing cups and glasses, etc. We didn’t have a dishwasher in the house when I was growing up, so I’m used to washing dishes by hand. But looking at this measuring cup, instinctively, I wouldn't put it through a dishwasher. I wouldn't trust something this inexpensive to hold on to its markings or not weaken structurally after going through repeated dishwasher cycles. Also, it's really easy to clean by just swishing a bit of hot soapy water around in it. I don't own a microwave that works, but when I did, I never put anything plastic in it. We also didn't have a microwave when I was growing up, but when the one in this apartment was working, I didn't like putting plastic in it, because it could (and did) warp, or even melt. (Plastic will also outgas in a microwave.) If my microwave oven were working now, I definitely wouldn't put this measuring cup in it- the cup just looks like it wouldn’t stand up to it. So I can see why people have mentioned that their measuring cups started cracking after being put in the dishwasher and microwave. I also wouldn't put any hot, and especially boiling, liquids in this thing. I don't think I'd even do that with a “small p” glass Pyrex measuring cup these days. But those are just my own preferences. The measurements on the sides of the cup seem accurate. I've made two batches of nonfat milk so far, and both have turned out fine. The only thing that is kind of annoying is that this measuring cup is not labeled with 1/4 increment measures. I needed to add 3 and 3/4 cups water to 1 cup powdered milk to make 1 quart of non fat milk. There is no 3 3/4 measure (or 1 1/4, or 1 3/4, or 2 1/4, or 2 3/4, etc.) marking. That's a little irritating, but I just eyeballed the adjustments for the dry milk to water, and it turned out ok. If you are the kind of person who likes to be 100% exact about things- and I admit, I am not- this lack of 1/4 markings may be more of an issue for you. I like that the handle is padded with heavy-duty rubber that makes the cup easy to hold, even when completely full of liquid. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase. And I had zero trouble, thankfully, removing the weirdly enormous "COOL GRIP MEASURING CUP" sticker that came attached to the outside. On a hunch, after reading all of the reviews where people had to struggle with this gigantic, unnecessary sticker, I didn't try to remove the sticker when the measuring cup was brand new out of the box. After about three uses, and four or five hand washes- only then did I attempt to remove the sticker. You can tell how a sticker is going to behave by picking at the edge of it with your fingernail. If it starts to peel up cleanly, even with just a little bit of picking at it, that's a good sign. That indicates you *might* be able to peel up the sticker in a mostly intact single piece, or pieces, with no adhering goo underneath to deal with. If instead your fingernail carves a trail through the paper on the surface, revealing the adhesive underneath, well-- that might be trouble. I picked at the edge of the sticker with my fingernail, and saw that the sticker was starting to peel off cleanly. I took the bit of sticker that had peeled up between my thumb and forefinger and *slowly* (that's the key- slowly) peeled it up a little bit more. It continued to come off of the measuring cup cleanly. Then, the sticker started tearing. When this happens, if the sticker tears, just start the slow peeling again next to the place where the sticker has torn, so you can "catch up" the torn, still stuck-on peeled part to the part you have already peeled up. It's like— when you are trying to start pulling the tape off of a roll, and it comes off in a long, annoying sliver, and you have to go back and find the place where the rest of the tape is that is still stuck on the roll, and pull that part up, to catch it up with the sliver, so it’s all in one piece again. Anyway- if you pull the sticker up very, very slowly, it will come off without leaving residue. It just takes awhile to do this. That's what happened for me, and I didn't have to use any Goo Gone, or scrub off any sticky stuff at all. Maybe the company read the reviews about how their sticker was so torturous to remove, and made improvements recently- I don't know. I'm just glad the sticker didn't give me any trouble. So even though the 1/4 measurement marks are absent, and I would advise against putting this measuring cup in the microwave or dishwasher, and I wouldn't put really hot liquids in it, and it does have a big old sticker on it that comes off just fine if you peel it off really slowly, I think this measuring cup is a great buy for its price, and I recommend it. I'm thrilled with the item. I use it to heat milk in the microwave for use in my thermal coffee pot. The pot goes off on a timer, I throw in my heated milk and some sugar and I take off with my coffee pot of 8 cups for a caffiene packed morning at the office. If I use the cold milk right out of the fridge it decreases the over temp of the coffee so it only stays hot in the pot for ab 2-3 hours compared to 4-5 hours if the milk is heated. I have this down to a science so I know how much milk I like in dispersed into 8 total cups of coffee : 3/4 of a cup. Measure it out in this measuring cup, pop it in the mic for 45 sec neatly pour it into the pot and wahlah! 8 cups of coffee just the way I like it, that I can take with me anywhere. I saw in some reviews complaints ab hairline looking cracks. I have not seen that happen yet with this cup but I did have a measuring cup in the past that happened to. I had that measuring cup covered with "cracks" for almost 10 years never had a problem with it. So if I do start seeing them on this one, it's of no concern to me. I know it will continue to fully function. It's only cosmetic. So if you are buying a measuring cup to look pretty (which I would never do) then you may want to take into considerarion the other reviewers experiences. As for me, I'm thrilled with this cup.

This is the perfect measuring cup. It has not only markers clearly indicated that you can't miss reading but also in ounces milliliters and cups! Some measuring cups has only ounces and cups but this cup has all three. The perfect utensil if you're camping and needed precise measurements especially if you're eating those Mountain House Freeze Dried Backpacking foods that only needed 2 cups of boiling water that's precisely measured. You'll need this measuring cup as well if the recipe you're cooking calls for it or just hang it somewhere around the kitchen. This is very handy when you're baking bread and your bread requires precise liquid measurements. A highly recommended item to have and a MUST to have.

I do not feel product is safe. I bought because it said this was an American made product. Is not! If you go to Arrow website, you won't find this measuring cup. It says it is BPA free. Well, it might be, but with out knowing the PETE number, you may be getting other toxins. Safest plastics to use for food and water are 2,4 and 5. The triangle on bottom of cup has no number. I did have problems with sticker, use goo-gone and patience. Pouring also requires patience as you need to place spout of measuring cup directly on the object you are pouring into, and poor slowly. No mess that way. I have no cracks in my cup, though I have had it for a very long time. I hand washed to preserve blue measure lines and letters. I recently used about 3 times to heat up milk for hot chocolate and it was so nice to not have milk stuck to it's surface and it cleaned out easily. I did not heat milk to boiling. But after thinking about heating an unknown plastic in the microwave with food in it, I've decided since the company does not disclose what kind of plastic this is, it is best not used to heat anything. I won't use it now to mix anything either, even with silicone whisks as plastic does shed. So disappointed to not be able to use this in the kitchen. It is now strictly for garage and cleaning products. Shame on Arrow for not being up front with buyers on this item.

So far nothing to dislike. It’s plastic and has made a couple of trips thru the dishwasher without problem. Seems sturdy and accurate. Comes in handy as a small mixing bowl and has withstood using the wire whisk to mix ingredients without scuffing the plastic. It’s a winner so far.
