Fits a 6mm hole. Measured the pin with a micrometer it is 5.95mm diameter. A properly drilled 6mm diameter hole is suitable and accurate enough. The hole this is inserted into is a close fit on the shank end of a 6mm diameter drill. With the button pressed this pin can be inserted and will lock in place. It cant be inserted or pulled out without the button pressed. The 2 ball bearings provide more than enough extra diameter to stop it being pulled out. Actually measured across the bearings it's at least 1mm bigger (6.95mm). Note importance of hole been correct diameter. The pin is hard steel. The supplied tether cable is strong and appropriately connected to both fittings.In attached photos. It's been used to secure a punch bag at the end of the 2 sliding rails. (To stop it from sliding back when used). It plays no part in hanging or supporting the weight of the bag. The pin is subjected to a fair amount of vibration which it appears to handle so far. The pin is hard enough and if well enough made the ball bearings and mechanism should withstand this. ( I think it will)
