I’m really happy with this radio.
I had been looking for an off grid style radio if power goes out. And I love the functionality of this radio with solar panel charging as well as plug-in, charging or hand crank charging this is great. The weather station is much easier to use than the FM a.m. but still works great for both or should I say all three options. Strongly recommend for those looking for similar functionality. And I forgot to mention, you can plug your phone to charge it off of this radio as well.😁

Practice working on the radio before you have to use it
The buttons are hard to see and adjust, volume changing stations . Love the light and how compact it is . Good for the money.

Peace of mind!
I bought this after a tornado came through our town and we figured out that my cell service is not reliable in the closet during bad weather lol. My son was so scared that I thought this might help. 2 weeks after I got it another tornado came through and this time we could hear the updates on time and clearly. The reception was great, the flashlight and other lights came in handy and it’s very easy to use.I love that it has a crank to charge it if you need to and we tried out the solar charging and it works! It feels heavy and well made, and now it lives in our storm closet. I may even buy another one to keep in my Jeep.

Solar Panels Do Not Charge the Batteries - Not Worth Buying
The unit works like it should, EXCEPT, the solar panels do not charge the batteries. We left it for 2 moths on a window sill with the batteries at 3/4 charge (per the built-in indicator) when we left for vacation. With the unit's solar panels extended and exposed to the sun plus all switches in the off position, we came back and the batteries are not fully charged, but actually lower than when we left. They are now at 1/2 charge. The solar panels appear to be for show only and do not charge the batteries. This is the major feature which prompted me to purchase the unit, so I feel it is not worth buying and can only give it 1-star, but would prefer 0-stars.

Good for quick use
Ordered the same night electricity went out and received it the next morning at 5 am fully charged. I'm a caretaker and needed something quick. The setup was easy. Radio worked for hours on end. Was able to charge phone up to 70%. I thought I could use the crank to charged the phone further but it doesn't work like that. You need to charge the device up ahead of time and use the charger for emergency charging only. Worked great in a pinch.
