I loved this toy as soon as I opened it, but reluctantly agreed that it wasn't designed for someone approaching 70. My 3 year old grandson to whom I was forced to give it really loves it too. Of course a 3 year old isn't limited by the characters in the box and the story telling goes off in all directions. The best bit about this toy is that it works as described. The characters can be manipulated easily with the magnetic sticks provided, so the frustration level of a 3 year old with developing motor skills is rarely tested. The theatre works mechanically, allowing the child to simply bring imagination.

Good item

This is best suited to a child who likes imaginative play. Acting out the basic story of Red Riding Hood would soon lose its appeal; my grand-daughter is 7, and I bought it because she is always making up her own plays. She really loves it, and uses the characters for her own stories. We will probably buy more wooden dolls and magnets, and make different scenery. The magnet idea is excellent, and much easier for a child to manipulate than string puppets or glove puppets. I bought this at a discounted price which was good value; you are paying for the idea as the contents wouldn't cost much to make.
