Easy to use tool to test brake fluid for replacement
I bought this tool to test the brake fluid in our fleet of extended family cars and pickups. This tool tests the amount of water absorbed over the lifetime of the brake fluid and gives you a rating on whether you should replace, watch, or if you are all good. An inexpensive tool to verify if you use a shop for your auto service, and they tell you that you need a brake flush. One of the upsell gimmicks many autoshops push is a brake flush. With this tool, you can quickly determine if their recommendation is valid. A brake fluid flush is important if your fluid can no longer hold up to the demands of braking, but many factors cause its breakdown. Look at your owner's manual for guidance on service intervals for a brake flush as well. This tool is easy to use, it appears accurate when tested against other tools, and is reasonably made of quality material. Is to use as far as functionality, turn it on, and select the fluid type which is stamped on the master cylinder cap or your owner's manual fluids section. (Dot 4 or 5) Remove the cap on the master cylinder and insert the tool into the fluid reservoir, and it will show you a result and beep if needing replacement.

Worth the money!
Product is so very easy to use. Take it out of the box. Put the batteries in, turn it on. Pull the cap off the sensor and test your brake fluid.

Worth on money!
Tester appears to be rugged enough to ride around in my glove box for years. Tester worked when tested on a new bottle of brake fluid. Good buy for home use.
