I have an 8 pound and a 12 pound dog who do not like their nails trimmed. As a result, I purchased this. It works, but the dog must be familiarized with it and made to feel safe. I would recommend to dog owners who are in tune with their dogs needs and emotions or who are responsible pet owners. I had to use this where my dogs could not use the door or wall as leverage. One was fine, but the other needed my comfort and reassurance she was stabile and safe.

This was a god send! Our little dog would not let us or anyone else trim her nails, I finally broke down and bought this not thinking it was going to work but I was wrong. It has been the only way I have been able to trim her nails and I was even able to use the manual file that came with it.

I got it to help trim my cats nails. - She is not a fan! It does work okay, but she is able to wiggle out if I take to long.

Taco doesn’t really love this thing but with two people we make it work. Taco (cat) does have an unhappy tail the entire time but we give him the tube treat and I manage to clip his nails. This is a life saver. I got his quick once or twice when he was younger and is scarred by the nail trimmer. But he is busy licking the tube treat while I clip away and he’s good for a month or so 🙂 This was a bit hard to figure out the contraption at first. Make sure to Velcro strap your cat in around their middle!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This grooming hammock in extra small was absolutely horrible for my tiny Chihuahua who’s barely five pounds. The size and style looked okay in pink, but the reality was awful. She was more stressed dangling there than ever sitting on my lap. We even tried bribing her with beef jerky and peanut butter on the finger but it made no difference. Her nails still didn’t get clipped and now she hates the sight of this thing. I honestly don’t know how people claim it works for their so-called difficult pets. It’s just not worth the money or time if your dog hates nail trims to begin with. The material is decent and the idea sounds smart but for us it did nothing but create chaos.

I ordered size Small for a Jack Russell. When it arrived the package was not marked any particular size but measured as per size XSmall. Had to return. Won’t be reordering the same product seeings there’s no guarantee they’ll send the correct size!

Always a struggle trimming my pets nail. But with the harness I can trim my pets nail with ease. Highly recommended.

We let her feet hit until she got used to it then we raised the bar. It was a game changer.. she was used to me doing her front paws but this was a huge help in getting her hind paws clipped.

I bought this hoping nail trimming of our cat would be easier. With two of us wrangling him in it - amid howling and squirming from cat and lots of laughter from us and a few scratches. He was out of it before we got the first nail done. This is a well made item and I am sure it would be great for a dog but unfortunately for and our cat it was a none starter. Wish we had a video it would have been very amusing.
