Value for money is key
Does its job. Fans are quiet, I just wish they were more powerful then expected. Cools the laptop enough to count but don't expect it to be ice age frozen when pluged in. Very easy to use, flashy lights if you prefer it as such, mine's always on light blue. Hand rests comfortably over the unit. I'd say if you want a more powerful outcome spend over ÂŁ100 on another product. 4.5 stars out of 5 from me

Cools CPU by around 10 degrees Celsius. But starting rattling after a month of use
FINAL EDIT:I did buy another in the end. This one has been fine, and my original review stands.EDIT TO THE BELOW REVIEW:After 30 days a couple of the fans have started noisily rattling at low speeds. It's really annoying. I have returned the item and am now contemplating whether to purchase it again…ORIGINAL REVIEW;I have a big old 17.3 inch gaming laptop.i9-13900HX, 64gb RAM. 4090. It’s a beast. But with great power comes great heat, and it runs very very hot indeed. There’s a review on here that talks about Sim City, and how this cooler enables them to play that game. I play Cities Skylines II and my laptop, whilst very capable, runs at 90 degrees+ when playing that game. Great game by the way, but not optimised yet…With this cooler my laptop tops out at the high 70s, so it definitely works, and is certainly fit for purpose. It has 6 speed settings and even at number 6 it’s a lot quieter than my laptop’s own fans. It doesn’t stop those kicking in though so actually this adds to the noise. But not by a lot - it’s fairly quiet, as opposed to my laptop’s own fans which are basically the equivalent of an A-380 taking off! I generally have it set at number 5/6 for Cities Skylines II, number 3 for general use, number 1 if I’m idling. It uses a standard USB slot (lead provided) which is fine I guess. But most modern laptops these days have more USB-C slots and standard USB slots are actually at a premium. So personally I’d rather this was USB-C. But if that’s not an issue for you then fine. Also, yea the connector is on the right and if your laptop USB slots are on the left you can just slant the cooler up to level 1 and run the lead underneath. In fact, this is a very tidy solution that works really well.Annoyingly, it doesn’t remember your settings, and it will always start up at speed 3 and with rainbow LEDs flashing all over the place. And I have to turn those off every time it starts up, and adjust the speed to what I actually want. Annoying, but not a deal breakerIn summary, this is a good piece of kit, it works and is fit for purpose. Recommended

Big. Efficient
Does the job well. Very plasticky but not an issue. The interface is a bit tedious cycling thru power and the irritating light modes. You can’t turn off the lights.
