Product Description a combination nutritional supplement containing zinc and vitamin C in lozenge form for sub-lingual, high bioavailability. Both zinc and vitamin C are essential for the normal functioning of the immune system. Zinc plays a key role in the normal development and function of cells involved in non-specific immunity, such as natural killer cells, as well in the production of antibody proteins. Similarly vitamin C promotes lymphocyte proliferation, as well as protecting immune cells from the potentially damaging effects of free radicals generated during the immune response. The Vitamin C in Bio-InfluZinc+C is derived from acerola berries, a type of fruit originating from the West Indies, and one of the richest sources of vitamin C. Zinc Lozenges is Pharma Nord's Bio-InfluZinc + C supplement containing organically bound bio-available zinc and a natural source of vitamin C from Acerola cherry extract. Zinc and Vitamin C contribute to the normal function of the immune system, and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. InfluZinc lozenges ensure fast delivery of the active ingredients to the mucous membranes in the oral cavity and throat, the dissolve slowly in the mouth and have a pleasant orange flavour. Poor taste, quite artifical and chalky, too low dose of vit c should have checked more closely. There are better alternatives. Too soon to tell if zinc helps. Unlikely to repurchase due to taste. Quick delivery though.
