Kingfisher Deluxe Seed Feeder

Bought to replace a supermarket one which was not up to the job. This one is much better and not that much more expensive. Robust and easy to refill. The birds seem to like it and it withstands assaults from pigeons.

This bird feeder, is TRULY SUPERB !! It is so constructed that there is no wasted seed... my wild birds were simply CHUCKING IT OUT of my previous feeder, which had to be refilled every FOUR HOURS or so !! With THIS one, they're going like the clappers, taking seeds out whenever they like, but ONLY WHAT THEY TAKE IN THEIR BEAKS !! and on the subject of CONSTRUCTION, it is made to A VERY HIGH STANDARD and will LAST FOR YEARS !!Hurray and halleluya !!... Bought as looked sturdy and primarily metal, was disappointed that perches are actually plastic painted silver and that is the bit where I have squirrel problems. Packing was a bit basic but arrived undamaged. OK for price.

Well. I really wanted to like these feeders, but now that I have them I don't. The previous reviews said that they were easy to clean...they are not. Yes you can get inside from the top, but you cannot really get into the bottom part. I was hoping that the bases could be removed by twisting as some other feeders do, but they do not. These feeders will soon have bacteria and grown sprouting from the base and the birds will not use them. I bought two of these, I now wish that I had not!Edit...I found that these feeders were not being used by the local birds. So I put it down to them having very shiny paint on the opening and perches. So I wire brushed the paint off took about 2 minutes on each, Bingo, the birds are now using the feeders.I can't see them lasting very long though!

Good feeding ports, well made Birds like it.

After the birds got used to feeding from it I found the product was excellent. Unlike many other reviewers I don't have a problem with squirrels so the product is undamaged. I like that the feed is contained in perspex so that it does not get wet in the rain. I have no complaints with this product and would recommend it.

I put these up three days ago and the birds are used to them being there now. So I am happy with them. If anyone wants seed feeder I would say, have these they are well made and easy on the eye. The price is also value for money.
