Liftmaster 889LMMC Garage Opener Wall Panel - Replaces Old Model 888LM, and 889LM. Upgrade Current Old Panel to MYQ Technology

Simple process that takes only minutes to replace your existing wall controller to this latest model from Liftmaster. I was able to replace the controller on my smaller of two garage doors with this Liftmasterwall control which now gives me the same controls on both doors. For the first time in over 10 years I now have automatic control to shut the garage door within a planned period of time 1, 5, or 10 minutes. Never have to worry about whether I forgot to close the door. Motion-sensor detector operation of the garage lights makes it convenient and safer to come home to a fully lit garage interior. A lock feature to prevent the door from being activated by any other controls. Plus wi-fi capable if you want to add the My-Q app. to have alerts sent to your phone every time the doors open or close. for added security. I'm really impressed by how simple it was to installl and how easy it was to program the features I wanted. Works with garages that feature the Purple or Red/Orange learn buttons on the garage opener. I never thought I could update my 2009 and 2010 door openers to have the same features as the latest models. Shipping the control to me was done the day after ordering and the unit was received two days later. Super fast in every respect and excellent tracking on the package. A+

I bought a different retro fit opener and was very disappointed. I found this which is made for openers with purple learn button. This set up with the Q internet bridge, it’s updated our older openers to modern technology. Works so smooth. I will say, don’t forget to get the Q internet bridge though. I didn’t find out I needed that until I had already received my two openers. But I did buy the bridge and simply plugged into router and connected the openers. Works nice.

This unit replaces my old lm888 wall unit. If you have the 888 and it was not replaced recently then you may want to consider the new 889 unit. The old one opened my door without warning. Had to disconnect it and replace it with this new unit that does not have that concern. Easy to install just keep the wires white and red on the correct screws. You do need to wait a few minutes for the unit to fully power up. Connecting the unit to the account for MyQ was a bit clumsy as the menu is not obviously clear. But a bit of exploring and trial/error got the unit connected and running. Would I buy it again? Yes. For the price? well yeah its still a good choice. It works.

This device does not replace the 888LM. MyQ App and internet gateway have no issue adding older 888LM devices but cannot see/add 889LMMC. Chamberlain AI support assistant is useless, asks to retry the basic teach functions and watch indicator lights.

Works with the ‘purple button’ lift master units.

I was hopeful these openers would work on my LiftMaster with purple learn button as they were supposed to be an upgrade for just that purpose. However after trying to make them work with 4 different modules I just gave up and replaced them with a doorbell button. That worked.

Product works as described. easy to install and it works perfectly.Build quality is great! My opener has a purple learn button that this panel describes specifically for.

Have a 23 year old garage door opener non WiFi and this replaces the logic board for remote and WiFi capabilities!
