Carter's by DaVinci Colby 6-Drawer Dresser in Washed Natural, Grey, (F11926G)

I bought this dresser for my son’s room and it’s perfect. I originally wanted to buy a dresser from Crate & Barrel Kids but I couldn’t justify the $1200 price tag. I decided to look on Amazon and saw this similar looking dresser for 1/4th of the price.The dresser is sturdy and made with real wood with a white wash. There are four legs with an optional fifth leg to go in the middle of the dresser if you plan on having more than 50 lbs load. The back of the dresser and the bottom of the drawers are compressed wood but it’s not flimsy. The drawers open and close smoothly.I was worried that the drawers wouldn’t open up all the way based on other comments. However, they actually pull out a decent amount.It took approximately 2-3 hours to put together but the instructions were clear and made it easy to put together.Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s actually a very nice piece of furniture that I can foresee us using a long time. Can’t wait to see it in the finished nursery.Another note - DaVinci is made by Million Dollar Baby, the same company that makes higher end brands like Babyletto.

This was very easy to assemble and looks great. Matches our baby’s crib and seems like the build quality is good. Very functional with lots of storage space

Good dresser, bottom drawer gets stuck. I am a self proclaimed master builder and it’s not user error. I still like it, weighs a million pounds which I actually like!

The delivery was excellent, the packaging was perfect. Everything arrived in one piece and not one scratch on anything. The directions were very easy to follow and it was very simple to assemble. I read a lot of complains about the drawers so I was hesitant to buy it, however after putting it together myself if the drawers are messed up, it’s your fault. You just have to be very careful and check everything is aligned before screwing the screws in. I did find it much easier and faster to use a drill instead of a screwdriver when it came to drilling in the nails for the drawers only. The dresser is extremely sturdy and quite heavy. The drawers slide out nice and easy. I am 18 weeks pregnant and did this on my own in about an hour. The color is beautiful and it’s perfect for a nursery. The drawers are on the smaller side they hold a decent amount but they are not deep however they are perfect for a baby or child. I would definitely buy this dresser again and recommend to anyone.

This is a nice and sturdy nursery dresser. It's a great size, I love how the drawers slide nicely on smooth tracks. It definitely takes some time to put together, but the instructions were excellent and, heck if an 8 month pregnant lady can do it, so can you =). I am very pleased with the quality, especially for the price. Would buy again.*A note on buying used-new goods on Amazon:I decided to take a chance with Amazon and purchased a used option that noted it only had damaged packaging. This was NOT true. While it did come in a box that was very beat up and crunched styrofoam that got everywhere (which was expected and acceptable based on what I signed up for). It also was packed and delivered with an obviously broken part. After unpacking this ,piece by piece, and getting styrofoam everywhere, I found a broken drawer front: the screws were ripped out of the face so it was not useable and the holes stripped. The idea of packing this thing back up and returning a 70# package was worth throwing the $ away IMO. However I decided to start the return process based on broken parts. Amazon's automated system connected me to the supplier and the supplier had a really easy online parts order form. I got a new part sent out to me and voila, my dresser is complete and ready before the baby arrives. It all worked out well, but just a warning on opting for the used items. Be prepared for the unknown.

I am so disappointed in this item. We bought the matching crib and had zero problems with that piece. The dresser has several issues. One of the drawer wheels arrived broken. There are several misaligned pieces due to holes being drilled off-center. In one area, the screw broke the particle board when being tightener. Also - its advertised as real wood and its 100% engineered wood. How can an item be Greenguard Certified if its particle board? To top off all these issues - Styrofoam went EVERYWHERE every time we pulled a piece out of the box - how is that child safe? The last thing nesting parents want to do is have a crisis trying to track down and vacuum or sweep all those choking hazards. None of these issues happened with the crib assembly. We will 100% be returning both pieces. So sad!!!
