Wow. This is an awesome introduction to 4 US National Parks through a child's natural interest in animals. If your kids loves animals as most kids do, this would be a very engaging activity for them. And what kid doesn't like magnets? Combines all these features in a quality Melissa and Doug activity! We got this set to take on our visits to our grandchildren's houses and when they outgrow it, we will donate it to a classroom or one of the Sensory Rooms we have been privileged to help create, if we end up not keeping it ourselves. Maybe they will never outgrow this activity as I can see it even becoming a game for any age to see who can be the first to fill up their card with the matching animals magnets! Might just have to purchase other sets to give away! This is an excellent set, though with much smaller children it might be advisable to sort the animal magnets ahead of time and bag them as sets when playing with a younger child as the number of animal magnets might be overwhelming to have to sort through all four sets if put out altogether! Then it can be a matching game for them to find the same shape on their card, and you can do just one card at a time with one bag of animal magnets. Then, graduate to mixing two bags of animal magnets to match up to two cards, and gradually work your way up to mixing in all four sets when the child seems ready. But other than that it is an excellent activity, extremely well made, looks like a lot of fun, and a great intro to 4 US National Parks and a myriad of interesting Park wildlife! An awesome gift idea! I would purchase this again in a heartbeat and will keep it in my memory bank for future gift ideas, should I ever need one!

I purchased this for my pre-k classroom and it has worked out wonderfully. I used it during our camping week and the students had a lot of fun adding the different animals and creating their own vignettes. This is an excellent resource for getting quieter students engaged and allowing them to work with a friend in a creative manner. The construction is excellent and I especially like how everything has its place. It packs up well and is perfect for easy storage. Our National Parks Services is such a rich treasure and being able to introduce my students to it at a young age is wonderful. If I could add one thing, it would be nice to have a Jr. Ranger included in the magnet set.

Bought them for my nephew and he spent hours playing with them. They are easy to clean, easy to carry, easy to pick up, and educational. What's not to love?

we have loved this for hours of entertainment in the car. It is nice and the magnets are very durable. All the different scenes and all the different characters lead to fun imaginative play.

I love any and all Melissa and Doug products. The detail and quality is always high. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I had to laminate the cards so they would last longer in my kindergarten classroom. It would have been nice if they came protected already.

My grandson and I love this magnetic wooden picture matching set. We play with it over and over again, he loves it. The set is well made and the whole thing is contained in its own wooden box.

Melissa and Doug is always a favorite product in our house and this set is no exception. The box is built very sturdy and has notches on the side for a little hands to remove the top. This set also includes elastic vans that wrap around the edges and a handle that allow the children to carry it Without losing the pieces blank is also a nice touch And the scenes and magnets are brightly colored and very educational.
