I’m pleased with the overall quality of this carving kit. Every tool arrived sharp and well-crafted, which made getting started super easy. The variety of tools included covers everything I need for my project, from rough shaping to fine detail work. The carrying case is a nice bonus: sturdy, compact, and keeps everything securely in place. It’s great for both storage and transport. I also appreciate that the kit came with a pair of protective gloves which shows attention to safety and is something not every set includes. I can’t speak to long-term durability just yet but everything feels solid and well-made. For the price this kit is a great value. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a beginner-friendly or intermediate carving set.

Excellent kit for beginners! Our family whittles at our family event every year, and this kit was great for the younger kids just getting started. It’s a good travel size!

Don't plan to use the gloves. They don't work. I have had other cut resistant gloves before, and the ones in these kit are not up to snuff. I have cut through the gloves in this kit a bunch of times. And no, I don't mean I stabbed between the fingers, the knives cut holes into the gloves. But on the upside, the knives are great. The covers for the blades don't really cover the whole blade, but since they have a carrying case, that's less of a concern. The wood in the kit is adorably tiny and isn't too hard to work with.

The build quality on these whittling knives has been very surprising to me. They are VERY sharp and hold the sharpness. Design works well. I'm glad they included the gloves. WOW my son needs it. He's accidentally cut himself just putting the knives away- so be careful and ENJOY! Because your children will get off the computer, T.V., whatever and have a great time with you making fun stuff. It's so much fun :)

Great price and great quality

I wanted to try a new hobby, and this was a pretty good cost effective way to scratch that itch. After loads of tutorials I’ve learned that the wood provided is amazing but not perfect. Better wood cuts like butter but this is still good. You cannot use both gloves and hold a knife though, so I did slice my finger pretty good but that’s honestly on me. The gloves do break open pretty easy which is concerning, so after one project I had a few holes in the glove I used. Overall I like it it’s good for beginners the knives are sharp and sleek and the wood is pretty good, plus some nice templates.

Not for adults. Too puny

Llego en perfectas condiciones! Las instrucciones que vienen no son las mejores, pero las herramientas y las maderas estan bastante bien para iniciar! Lo que si es que los guantes estan bastante apretados y mejor veria de comprar unos externos.
